On another note, the Reactor atties I bought are strange. On the OliveR they are great. However on my LP reo, they are horrible. Can't seem to figure it out. juice tastes burnt; like the coils have hot spots. Haven't really had time to play around. It's as if the reo doesn't like dual coils. I can take the same battery and atty from my OliveR and put it on my LP reo and its horrible. Just burnt tasting juice. Really weird. Anyone else experience this? If I ever get some free time I'll do some voltage measurements, maybe that's where it is? Can't imagine the reo having less voltage drop than my OliveR though but maybe.

I had help and tutelage from a certain bee drilling out my reactor. When I got it home and set it up on my LP TRA Grand with my favorite dual 12 setup, I noticed right away that it gets really hot really fast with smaller air holes. So I opened up the air holes little by little with my trusty tapered diamond Dremel bit until I reached ~ 3/32nd ID. For me, that seemed to be the perfect balance for really good flavor and clouds. The increased air flow seems to keep the coil and overall atty temp down quite nicely. Of course with air holes that size we're talking lung hits. I'm really liking this setup, thanks for pointing out this little gem. The flavor with dual coils in this tiny chamber really is quite good. YMMV

Like FB said, you may request the BeCu fuse bypass strip "BLOW YOUR FACE OFF" option.

Looks like mark got all the other conductive goodies as well.

Good to see you back FB, I figured you'd make it back in time to get your turn. Pdib says we tied for all time lowest voltage drop on a production OliveR. I suspect Mundy with his silver mods holds the current title. (Not that there is such a thing).

Well if you guys really think about it, the option of removing the spring really isn't any more blow your face off then the majority of mech mods. Almost all that I have/have had are not fail safe, and have no fail safe as the springs are in the switch, which can still be activated even if the spring were to collapse. So I feel like the comments about blow your face off option are a little out there as most people use mechanical tube mods without ANY protection, with the chance it could short out, and they don't even bat an eyelash at it, so the lack of a fuse or spring in this mod really is no different.

I have mine drilled out to 1/16" each side. When its right its awesome; best atty I have currently IMO. After playing with the Atomic for a day I realize I do like bigger air holes so I'll give the reactors some more air. Thanks for the info. I've been shy with the airhole sizes ever since I went 5/64 on my RM2 and pretty much ruined it for me at the time.

I agree - and the chosen verbiage was copied from earlier in this thread and might seem a little over the top. For people who have background and experience with fully mechanical tube mods, that have done their homework and fully understand the implications, its really not a big deal. For people who don't have the background and see someone's pretty OliveR and think the bypass strip looks like a pretty cool feature, its a kind of warning to indicate the need to understand it first.

Thanks! Yeah it's a sweet setup for sure.

Oh right, this isn't the first forum I keep hearing about "blow your face off because of now fail safe", and while the verbiage may be correct, I feel like it's misleading. My post was in no way directed at you puppy, your post just so happened to be the earliest one I ran into lol.

Nope. I still have a fuse element which is the largest voltage drop in it. I would rather retain it than get that last bit of oomph.

if you've gone to big on the air you could always vape at a higher wattage.. i have three rm2 cap's,1/8(3mm), dual 2mm and a dual 1/8 :p

that's what I ended up figuring out... but then... then I decided to drill out the posts for MM wire and goofed em up LOL. So now I have a spare parts rm2 with a big hole in it LOL. Thanks for the tip though.
