And just for the record, I'm not interested in titanium because I'm worried about the safety of Kanthal. I just think there might be a lot to be said for low-mass coils. We'll see, I guess.

Yes, thank you for not perpetuating the mass "kanthal is BAD for you!!!!11!!!!1" hysteria...

OK, so I found a configuration that really works for me on this here atomizer. Firstly, I put the post back in. I need to be testing the product that's going out instead of flying ahead (or off to the side . . .. . ) with my mad schemes. Also, as I had begun to suspect, (for me) this small chamber atty really shines with dual coils built from more delicate wire. So I did a little dualie with 28g Nichrome. It seems to be ringing in at ~.4Ω. I've got a very full, well balanced, vaporlicious thing going on here. Acidity is pronounced but not overbearing. Middle is full and well rounded. I've got the rather short delrin drip tip that (Supe sent me a while back) on it, and the vape is not hot, the tip isn't getting hot, the atty isn't getting hot. But I'm getting a very, very nice, full flavored vape with nice big clouds. Furthermore, it works perfectly for both tight dual air holes, or wide open lung hits. At this point, I can confidently say that we've got an atty here that can sing. :)

I must say, however, that the post configuration being different from the norm does lead to a very small learning curve on loading in the coils. My guess is; after three four builds, it'll be second nature. It's like riding a slightly different bicycle. From the perspective of the kooky dreamer, I'm a bit disappointed that we're not 100% post-free. The shorty centerpost kind of dismisses alot of the freedom of build that I had in mind. If I step out of my idiot shoes for just a moment tho, and look at it from the perspective of the average high-end vaper, with no pre-loaded expectations (just the expectations of buying a nice atty and finding that it can produce a very good vape, and that it's dynamic and adjustable), I can say that this would be a nice little addition to one's arsenal. In my case, I think I'm looking at my go-to, ADV atomizer. (your not, because yours won't have a chamfer, nor pips, and may well come with a brass, ss, or copper AFC sleeve).

(yeah, I know my coils are mediocre at best. I somehow seem to be a little less focused on the perfect coil these days.)

this is what I had submitted for styling.

but we're not going there. Can't, I gather.

Your CNC guy is gonna hate you! Curvy = difficult with higher failure rates.

An alternative would be the shape of the Eviva-T by Atmistique, squared shoulders. Unless you hate the aesthetic, it is easier to cut.

Edit: just saw your current top cap, I am a morrrrrron.

yeah, I guess I don't mind modifying a real atty if it's going to make it better. I really tried to love the origen v2, it's a beautiful atty, I love the whole top cap air flow design but honestly to me as a bottom feeder the deck just sucks. it don't even have a deck really, it has a deep wet moat surrounding a big fat center post and I just can't get a great vape from it compared to my favorite atties

I'm going to try to ignore the Valentine's Day Origen Massacre pics, so I don't lapse into a state of dysphoric catatonia... I did my second BF build on my v2 Origen. It is now nearly identical in vape profile to my Cyclone running the exact same dual coil 28g 0.6 ohm build.

The trick is to build so that the coils are horizontal and resting right above the well openings, where the juice holes are on the BF center post. That way, juice comes out and falls right on the coils and surrounding wick. With horizontal coils, the juice wasn't feeding effectively.

I for one am anxiously awaiting "the Nuppin" so far nothing I've used has touched the cyclone, but I have to say I was also pretty excited about the no center post option, I am one who definately bought into what you were laying down and how it would hold with just the outside posts, and the video substantiated my thoughts as to where you were going, that said I'll take it however it's optioned out =)

Just take my money already!!!!!

Yeah, I'll make a few "no-post" posts for what we'll call beta testers. I'm guessing just a handful of people are gonna want to try it. So, good, we few brave men and St. Crispin's Day and what not . . . . ..

I'd be happy to help you out with that. See if it's idiot proof ;)
