I suppose this belongs in the Achilles thread, but I notice you are now saying you will make a tank for Achilles. I was probably going to pass on the Achilles (because I think I will like Ithaka better and so I preordered that), but if you are making a tank for it I may change my mind. Will it be available for preorder at the same time as Achilles? And if so will you show video or pictures before the preorder?

Hey anyone know where to get a long stem mouthpiece that fits on the penelope for a pipe. I been hearing about it on the forums, but never seen one.

I believe Jazz CartoPipes has a churchwarden style stem for the Penelope ... very impressive-looking pipes, too!

As Scott said, it is a Jazz Penelope Churchwarden Mouthpiece.

If you buy one, you can ask to Romaniac to send you without full drilling the inner hole of the mouthpiece, so you can adjust it to your Penelope for a snug fit.

Penelope mouthpieces could have very tiny variances on the outer diameter of the mouthpiece, due the polishing process I think, so it could happen that a Churchwarden Mouthpiece that have been tested by Romaniac and that have a snug fit on Romaniac's Penelope, would fit a little loose on your Penelope.

of course I will continoue provide ceramics for Ody Poppa and be sure that Ody will still be supported but with Ithaka parts.

Achilles will work on Ody expansion kit. I havent meassure yet the length of expansion kit but we can just make a bigger mouthpiece, thats very easy

1) My Ody has an O-ring at the bottom of the ceramic, under the nut. My Penelope doesn't. Should it? I'm afraid to tighten it too much in fear of breaking the ceramic. It only has the nut, then the plastic ring under the housing.

2) I know of the Kir Fanis clear tube, is there a small clear window like the Ody long mode? I like having a small clear window, but I like most of it being metal as well. I might still try to find a Kir Fanis clear tube for Penelope, but I think the metal looks better.

1 I honestly don't remember if I put the o-rings in my Penelope or if it came with them but I have 2 small o-rings under the knut to cushion the ceramic and still keep it nice and tight.

2 if I am reading correctly you are asking about a metal and clear body for penelope? if so I havn't seen one yet. It is either clear or metal.

Yeah I figured there was only either clear or metal... Was hoping there would be a combo. And as for the o ring, you have 2 in the ceramic? I'll have to go through the o rings I have, maybe I have one or two that will fit... I really don't even want to tighten it down because I don't want the ceramic to break. Luckily I do have 2 packs of o rings coming from Greece, I just have to wait a week or so for them to come.

My penny doesn't have any Orings under the nut. It's working fine.

Why is it that my penny is fine for the first few fills then flooding appears when filling. I have just filled it again and I'm watching juice come straight out of the central connector part. The mouthpiece/juice flow thingy is definitely closed when filling. I am screwing the top cap on slowly as I've seen this mentioned somewhere.
I end up blowing the flooding juice out through the centre pin until the tank is empty again.

somo, if you check the penelope tips and tricks thread you will see all the tricks you can do. For example, you dont blow from the mouthpiece, you just hit the mouthpiece in your hand several times until the juice inside ceramic or center post goes away. Then you wash your hands of course.
When you see the first sign of flooding you close mouthpiece. Dont let gurgling go big

Thanks Imeo. But I make sure the mouthpiece is fully closed before filling and straight away juice drips out of the connector part.

its because ceramic is already full of juice, so the extra juice that slips to the ceramic under cap's pressure, overfloods the ceramic. Try to hit the penelope in your hand as I told you before you refill and it will not get overflooded

If you are not careful with Penelope, this trick will make you avoid overflooding problems, so from time to time its not bad to do this trick somo
