If you are used to tight draws and prefer tight draws, this extra oring will solve most of the issues. If you are thinking that this tip takes it from the tightest of tight to the loosest of loose, and want it as loose as other GG MPs, you'll be changing them.
I am not enjoying the flavor in the atty with the tip. It's flavor gets dulled, vapor diminishes. The changing of the tip returns it to v1 status with better results.

Lo Zio, I always put 2 o-rings when something has to move because that way you have ability to adjust exactly where you like the moving part. So You can put 2 small o-rings, 2 big o-rings, one small and one big, or only one small or only one big
Yep.

Interesting...

Yup!
I had juice in my mouth, too. Which means that actually closing the semitelescopic mouthpiece does have an influence on the relative juice air mixture amounts, but depending on how much you screw it down. More later to this.

Yes.
Because it is air coming from somewhere else, actually.
I was looking at the tip today, and it reminded me of the UFS 510 extension - similar, isn't it? With the 510 extension I always had one big issue, it moves, it just moves while in the atomizer, and so does the drip tip as a consequence. Since I hate this, I use the UFS with a long tip which mounts a thicker o-ring.
Now: today I tried many different tips on Penelope V2, some worked, some not. In a couple of cases I had the same vape as with no tip, which means excellent. The tips working were the ones with thicker o-rings, try it out. If you have to force it in, it will preserve the creaminess of the vapor, otherwise the effect will be the same as the official semitelescopic tip.
So I suppose that actually air is leaking in, it's not air from the bottom and it doesn't have to do with the 2mm holes on the bottom , it enters from the semitelescopic tip and ruins the experience. By closing the semitelescopic tip a lot less air leaks in and one is able to exert suction and getting more liquid to the coil, even to the mouth as happened.
Of course there is a reason why the semitelescopic tip has two o-rings that don't exert great grip: the semitelescopic mouthpiece is idrectly connected to the rest of the mouthpiece; to make the two independent in rotation and actually usable (meaning developing less friction), o-rings without excessive grip a prerequisite.
So the dilemma:
-bigger o-rings ------> no air leaking in, but difficult to regulate without actually screwing and unscrewing the principal mouthpiece. No regulation at all with a common drip tip.
- original o-rings-------> problems we encountered

These are my thoughts.

What I would try: thicker o-rings, maybe only one. Which size are the two mounted?
No o-rings at all, meaning I would like to see a one-piece mouthpiece as Penelope V1 one day.
I want to point out: the vape experience without any regolation is excellent, better than Penelope V1 and comparable to Ithaka in some aspects, even better in others, so this wouldn't be that bad.

If others do not experience these problems...well, happy for you. For me, at the moment, with the semitelescopic mouthpiece Penelope V2 is not usable at all, while it performs wonderfully with other drip tips or at best without.

Esmoke guru did send me a extra bigger o-oring. I put it at the top of the mouthpiece, and YES it worked. So for me, the standard o-ring at the bottom and the big o-ring at the top.

I still have to get used to not taking to strong draws, cause that will make it gurgle and suck juice up.
Now i see what Imeo wanted us to see :) Taste is great now, its warm and thick.

just close more the mouthpiece and draw as hard as you want klepto

I don't see how tightening the draw is different from tightening the Air on the mod or on ithaka

I swear it has something to do with where you control the air. You close off the AC on the mod, you control air to the coil. You block it at the top, it's behaving differently. Acting more like a straw. Again. This may be me because I've become more a looser draw fan.

Yes. The problem lies in there, in my opinion.

Of course yes, if well lubed it could work, I would be only afraid of rotating the "big" mouthpiece while I regulate the air and the two regulation should be independent.
Apparently it works:

So this basically confirms the story.

Yes of course, this air control is then actually able to have influence on the amount of juice drawn to the coil, and this we already knew when we got juice in the mouth. :D

We need o-rings.
Imeo, which size are the o-rings present on the telescopic mouthpiece? I would say same inner diamteer and a little thicker would do the job. Maybe.

5x1,5 are the ones on the tip and 6x1,5 is the spare one Lo zio

Oh I just figured out the parameter!! People will think I am stupid but it is fine with me. A guy explained something about some other atomizer that didn't make sense to me but now it does. AIR PRESSURE. When you control air from above the air hitting the coil has less pressure than when you tighten the air from below the coil. Although you are sucking the same amount of air, since the bottom hole is still large air will not have big pressure to the coil. This is the only difference between air from above and air from below control. How much this affects the flavor? I don't know. For me I don't care because well I will have it all the way open anyway since I was eager for the 2mm air hole.

Yankee if you put Penny V2 on JustGG with air control closed and air control on penny open, How much air does it pass from 1 to 10? The just GG lid is all flat until the threads, hopefully the channels on penny v2 are not all the way until the air holes if you get what I mean

Nice, then I could proceed with substituting the o-rings...if I find them ahahahah.

It's a big difference, indeed. Systems with air regulation after the coil exist on box mods since years and nope, it's not the same.

Wonderful, thank you very much!

There we go. Exactly. (I don't know why I'm having a hard time finding the words this week).

I will have to try this later as I brought the stealth cap with me today. But here are the cuts.

Ehm...
Yeah, well.
What happened is that I got the package on wednesday (maybe), but in these days I was extremely busy, so I quickly opened the package and looked for the heaviest pluriball - with Penelope V2 inside and left the rest in there.
Until now: there's also some wick, one premaid coil and actually one o-ring to make the air control tighter! :D
I'll try this!
If it solves the problem and it was there all the time.. maybe I should check better next time.

Thank You guys for all the info on your experience with the V2 so far.

This post is about the V1, Not the V2. Sorry if it's off topic.
I cannot comment on the V2 yet since I'm still waiting for COV to ship. But with the V1, I have it set up a certain way. The bottom post O-ring is really big on the bottom of my V1. I replaced the O-ring with a rubber cap that came from the top of a disposable atomizer. It is so big that it renders the side holes to be sealed. Only air is able to get through from the bottom post of my V1. I like it this way...I like the draw, not too much air. And I'm able to get good tank pressure really quickly after a tank refill with this set up.

Sometimes if I don't screw the center piece down hard enough to the base, the tank pressure will not work and/or the wick is not able to hold the juice correctly. Then the juice will leak through the center post. But I got used to dealing with the V1, and this has not happened in a long time.

I look forward to getting the V2.
Does the V2 come with bigger spare O-rings for the AC mouthpiece?

Yes. There is a bigger oring included for the tip. That helps some with the upper air draw and also with the "looser" fit of the adjustable tip if it's wide open. It can wobble slightly. I had it open so much one time that it had a grip on the mp but was loose enough that it came out while I took a vape. Oring swapped.

So: I mounted the thicker o-ring (removed the bottom one).
It helps a little, yes, but the result is far away from the performance without any tip, this is still how I'm vaping. Maybe I'll try to get another one to replace even the other original o-ring and see if it gets better.
Actually I feel the same as yankeebobo: even by using different tips and by replacing the o-ring on the semitelescopic mouthpiece I wasn't able to replicate the experience without tip.
By the way: great vapour production here, compared to the V1. And similar to Ithaka in regularity - same vape from the first to the last draw. No sign of flooding, no gurgling, no leakage, not even one drop.
I mean, this V2 is cool, it's a pity for the semitelescopic mouthpiece story; I really would like to have a longer mouthpiece as the V1 has, since the vape is already pretty good, even without any air regulation.
