Must be a slow day in Co if you are trying to guess.

I had actually forgot about that one - noted. Not even sure where you conjured that mess up or why.
Isn't this issue enough to qualify my statement?
I was not referring to any specific issues actually nor the personal mishaps that many of us were a part of. Accounts closing, Compromised accounts, orders not following through with. Having to get Imeo personally involved was terrible for him. He doesn't need this. No one does.
I was simply stating that many customers as you may have read right here on this thread have had no contact, the COV threads closed, rumors abound, etc.

Is this a good practice for resellers? Does it honor the builder? Is it good for Imeo and his success? Is it good that this is the second time that a vendor has let him down? Is this how you would treat customers?
Imeo deserves more and so do we. The consumer is the one paying the price for the product and paying the price for the poor service. The successful business models that I am aware of do not include pissing off a customer base and then trying to play catch up when they leave because of the substandard care.
You obviously have not had issue and if not, great.
I have ordered the bulk of my collection from Vasillis and another source. I have been known to order from COV from a self inflicted economic justification standpoint.

If you have not had the chance to order from guru you have not experienced the kind staff, the follow up emails, the return policy, the fast shipping to American soil, the laughs he shares, Isabella!, and no his bs policy. The man understands how to make his customers happy and serves Imeo with great respect as it is shared both ways.
Have you ever seen a negative post about guru? Nope. I haven't.
The Ithaka issue was a non issue....but, now that you mentioned it.
Have a fantastic day! :)

I ordered from COV for my first GG purchases to avoid the expensive overseas shipping, so I thought? , but one month later after ordering from COV and usps as the scapegoat for a non shipped purchase , I have decided to be loyal to esmoke as 9 euros and a couple days later you receive your product..I simply give the vendor the opportunity to provide service, otherwise I don't provide them with my loyalty. I am with Idaho. It is a perfect example of Caveat Emptor!

Just my 2 cents

Quich question. I've got my penny 2 and am pleased with it. Got the short kit too.
So to the question. I'm getting a bit of leaking onto the battery - my guess is that the rubber seal is not sealing - why?
Am I tightening it too tight maybe? It's not through not tightening it enough - for sure...
Or could the rubber seal be finished?
Why happens to the seal when it stops working properly? Does it perish (loose the sealing ability)? Or does it go hard (losing its flexibility to seal).
So- how do I know when that rubber seal is finished?

To me it sounds like you would be having more of an issue with flooding and not a bad seal. If the atty floods then the juice can go down the center post to the positive pin on your atty. From there i don't know how it would get onto your battery, depends on your mod. Also the v2 is new and i don't see anyone having an issue with a bad o-ring this early.

Thanks for the responses. Particularly the honorable minister of stating the b£€€d!n' obvious. Like @tmccooljr I doubt it to be any kind of fault with the Penny 2, also my Ithakas are still going strong - and they are a bit older...
I'd still like to know "how" the seal will eventually fail. Will it perish and squeeze too readily to form a reliable deal? Or will it go hard or brittle, and become incompressible so as not to form a reliable seal?
Obviously the question is less to do with the Penelope, but more to do with the material that the o-rings are made of? And what peoples experience are of how long they really last before they fail and need to change them.

Oh haha. What i noticed is that since the o-rings we are using are around juice they tend to not dry out and crack or become stiff. Normally when an o-ring wears out its because it has become to loose from compression to no compression and become a little larger and does not seal as well. Or if you have your atty sitting there for a very long time the o-ring could dry out but i doubt it.

As i see it Dont, you put fat wick on penny and you try to have a good wicking by opening a lot the mouthpiece, so it floods. Try a thinner wick, like 2mm

Received the V2 short mode today as well the newly designed adjustable pin. Bang up job on both pieces. The short mode looks great on a 18350 tube mod. The new pin addresses my concerns about the original pin. I broke 2 of the original pins and can't really conceive how I would wreck this one. Only time will tell. Again a great job by Imeo. I continue to look forward to the Proteus and the penny V3!

Anybody having problems with the heating of the solid mouthpiece when using the short mode? I have a 1.7 Ohm micro in there and when I push it to higher wattages it heats up to the point where it gets hard to use. I have to wait to let it cool down. I remember people talking about this but can`t find the thread anymore.
Thanks in advance
