I did understand alcohol when I had my first drink, I didn't know tobacco could be deadly when I first started smoking. Compared to the availability of TV, news, instant information, etc., that almost seems to be back in the stone age. In less than a year after I started, just for fun with friends because I wanted to learn how to blow smoke rings (how stupid can you get, but I was 12), I did learn that smoking can cause lung cancer. Literally put me into shock for a day and a half but it was too late for me to quit. That's the short version, lol.

Do I blame BT? Yes I do. They have manipulated tobacco and "enhanced" it to the point of absurdity for their benefit only. If I was 12 now and started smoking, yes, I would place all the blame completely on myself. Things have changed a lot since the 60s.

BP has done wonderful things, many of us owe our lives to them. That doesn't let them off the hook for all the crappy, underhanded and downright dangerous stuff they do/have done to make a buck. Same thing with the FDA. Wouldn't want to live in a world without them but sure wish they'd remove the questionable/profiteering elements from their decision making. Sometimes I want to stop the world and get off. What's your home planet like?

Let's step off together. Ready? 1, 2, 3 let's go

...together we can play

There was a glitch in the Matrix when these two were created.

Good eye!
There are a couple other folks in that photo as well. Maybe four.
Thought I counted four also but hard to tell because the focus is a little off.

As long as we're playing that guitar and the lyrics aren't about me. She sounds like a real, er, beech.

We need to motivate some people, people. :( Where are our fearless leaders?

Sorry folks, life is hectic but I should return to full posting soon :) excellent pictures.

I'm not completely happy with the state of vaping as it is right now either, though I'm not ready to give up the fight because turning it over to a handful of people, whoever that handful is, won't make anything better.

I'm also not very happy with the state of vaping activism, but we continue the fight in whatever way we see fit, right?

When you get into the activist side of vaping, this is an inevitable outcome.

But I continue to hope that the deeming regulations will bring the entire community together.
Maybe that's one reason for the long delay in finalizing said regulations?

And in the meantime the states keep rolling along.

It's sad that we have to be activists and fight for the right to make a healthier choice.

It's sad that we have to fight to exercise our right to do most anything now-a-days...
One (a rational human being with feelings) would think that the right to choose healthier alternatives to
those acceptable to society would be a given but when I stop to analyze
the social mores of modern western civilization, US in particular,
I can't help but conclude that we're a highly immoral bunch who doesn't give two hoots about life
or anybody's health but our own and that of our bank accounts.

Of course, there are exceptions...Those exceptions tend to be sad...

Cheer up, mate. The revolution starts with one person giving a "darn".

One of 34, 574...the person in me that's into watching patterns
and predicting behavior from established patterns tells the rest of me that' this is wasting time,
they'll do what they do no matter what we have to say.

But there's still a smidgeon of idealistic youth left in me somewhere
so I went ahead and put my John Hancock and addy and other personal stuff
that I don't like to share 'cause those patterns made me paranoid
and clicked <enter>

Hope this makes the activist in you smile. :)

Hazy, yeah, it did. Grinning from ear to ear. :D Thank you! I’m loath to put personal information out there also, but was one of the first to sign. A bunch of us here got together and helped Lessifer write the petition so I better have been one of the first. Lessifer is, and has done, a great job with it.

I’m not sure we’re going to make any impact until the press is on our side and so far they seem happy to publish primarily the BS they are fed through skewed studies/BT/BP/BS. Certainly there have been some good stories yet they are far and few between. Something caught my eye this past week and has given me a spark of hope, if not for us, as least others who really need it. Public opinion can make a difference. It also helps when the opposition actually reveals himself as a scumbag (to put it mildly). Does anyone think that those (BP/BT) that don’t take to social media are all better than this SOB? First article has a lot of profanity, hence broken link. Copy/paste. Note how united the comments are. It surprised me.

Caramel, all due respect, but not “liking” a shrine to Castro. Can you work in one of those awesome 1950s cars into the next one?

Against my better judgement, hoping you get a cigar to celebrate the super moon eclipse by next Sunday. Won't happen for another 33 years or so. Pump up Reddit. :)
