Well done Astros! :toast:

Indeed. Maybe they were hungrier? Impressive win. And I truly am happy for Houston and Texas! Well played, Astros, well played. You beat us fair and square.
We just got a new Weber Spirit BBQ from work, for my 20-year work anniversary.
Until now we have never had what "most people" these days think of as a BBQ.

Congratulations, DC2! That's the one we have. It's a great BBQ. We use it almost every day and we love it. Except here DH is charge--that's his toy, beer in hand. I'm not allowed anywhere near it. :D

@DC2 , missed the part about it being your 20th anniversary at work. Not bad at all especially being that you can't use nic being employed by them and their ins. I know the nic thing hasn't been 20 years but I would have gone postal by now. ;)

Where's the :pervy: button?
Believe this if you can...

Until now we have never had what "most people" these days think of as a BBQ.

But I BBQ a lot, using a large sized Smokey Joe.
Because that, to me, is BBQing.

Charcoal. Old school. With beer in hand. Like I did in college.

Anyway, we now have a new "real" BBQ and my wife is taking it over.
Mainly because I don't want nothing to do with it.

So anyway, she BBQed flatiron steak, potatoes, and baby broccoli.
And she nailed it.
:)
Yeah, that's a grill, not a BBQ, subtle but important difference.

You can "BBQ" on a grill, but it's not quite the same, though I've heard getting a woodchip basket can help.

BBQ - low indirect heat
Grill - High direct heat

I will say that being able to go from high to low on the same grill without having to shift coals around does make cooking tri tip a lot easier.
