Unfortunately it looks like this was made by a Japanese company to advertise a ski area in the country. :( Did a heck of a job though!

Yeah, site was being really wonky last night, they were working on it and had it down for about half an hour. After that the site got picky about what it responded to.

Ladies and gentlemen,

May I request your heartfelt sympathies to @DavidOck on this difficult day. A wide swath of his area was hit by a strong storm and he is no doubt without power and/or internet today. One of his cats did text a short video of one of their other cats, who all hold David solely responsible for their being locked inside and having to use to potty pan, along with the caption, "LOL." :(

Surprised not to see @DavidOck post this morning so dug a little deeper. They did get winds and a lot of rain but then the next day a large portion of their state was was hit with a surprise, unforeseen wind storm with some areas getting gusts over 70 mph. This on top of a saturated ground, a whole bunch of trees, power poles, etc. came down among other damage. Thousands of people are without power and probably many without internet. They do have a generator, lucky ducks. I'm sure they are safe and have their yard chores laid out for the rest of the year.

Personal Message from @DavidOck . . .

Don't be worried he has not left us - nor "Moved On" . . . Although - "Mother Nature" decided to give him a "time-out" by sending a strong enough wind storm a few days ago to silence his connection to the Internet (Down Trees and Wires - Very poor Cell phone reception too) . . . He wants everyone to know he and his "Family" are OKAY . . . AND - They're just waiting for the very overworked helpers of the incompetent companies that supply these services to get them reconnected to the "World" outside their little community . . . He should be back to ECF ASAP to continue to enlighten and illuminate "Us" all with his sophisticated & humorous daily prose . . . Just Sayin' . . .

@Uncle -- Thanks! Saw you post that in another thread earlier today. I was going to call him today but if his cell service is so bad I won't add to his frustration. What you posted though doesn't tell us who is in control of the house, them or the cats. :w00t:

On that note, we are slated for wind storms from early tomorrow into Wednesday so we'll likely be without power and/or internet into Thursday or later. :-x At least we'll have the animals to keep us entertained. ;)

:grr: Won't post, here's the google link. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/5d/23/6b/5d236bb377b4677d54fd0b219673be49.gif

Yes, the winds were absolutely NOT in the forecast!!

Well, that was fun. Not. But, in the bigger scheme of things, being without the net for 6 days is still better off than those who lost power and, in some cases, houses, to the storm last Tuesday night Wednesday AM. Our power was only out for a few hours - overnight. So we were able to get our morning coffee! We did have a few small trees come down, but the only thing they hit was the ground. :thumb: Lots of other debris, a couple days gathering that all up, and another day on the burn pile getting rid of that. The trees can wait, they're not in the way of anything. And will be another couple days making them small enough for the next burn...

Then, many days battling with the local telco that "wheels" my ISP. And my ISP putting pressure on them for me... finally restored last night. While next door neighbor got their net back last Wednesday night, when the land lines got restored. Uh, yeah, they pay the local directly, not via their ISP. Yeah, send the workers out twice to fix one location, makes good economic sense...
