Google the title and you should get a link to be able to read it without a subscription.

It's basically about how at least one consultant believes the cost of EACH new product application will range from $2M-10M meaning most e-liquid manufacturers will be driven out of business.

There are some quotes from some shop owners, some who mix their own in house liquids, saying they will most likely have to give up that part of the business at the very least. Others saying they may need to fire employees and basically become family run shops, or cancel expansions.

One guy estimates that his house mixed liquid accounts for 40% of his revenue.

I tried but didn't work.

Altho i've heard this news before but in swedish. :)
The same rules applies to sweden basicly. To get a juice approved it'll cost over 23 460$ to get 1 juice approved. Which will ruin basicly any company around here.
I'm fairly sure the 23 460$ is fairly correct, the google conversion tool seem to be abit off. (It said that 200 Sek was the same as 200.000 Sek)
Anyhow about 200.000 swedish enkronor per juice, give or take. Maybe not the same as production app but still fairly similar. :)

So all in all, it's gonna suck. (For us and the companies.)

Edit: The only ones that can afford this realy is the BT... Which is very bad for us, i don't trust em the slightest.

I don't know the conversion rate but I think that's off. The estimate here is $2 million. Most of that is research and studies not actual fees. Couple that with the fact(afaik) that the fda has never approved a new tobacco product since the fsptca put tobacco under their control and it's a very bleak picture.

Ah i see, in our case we need to get it approved through our own "FDA" (I call it FDA because that's the closest word for it, basicly same thing)
the companies need to get each 1 juice approved for sale (If / when / once the regulations go through which is rumored to be 2016)
And the cost per juice to test them is about 200.000 SEK (swedish enkronor) Gosh why couldn't the dollar be 1$ per 10 sek like it used to be XD Was so much easier to count the values earlier. :p

So i guess if you've 5 juices to be tested and approved that will be 1 milion SEK. (117745,41$)

So 23549,08 $ per juice. Which must be approved if they get their regulations through.

And the worst part is, we might have to vape flavorless in EU due their "No taste" law. Same thing as they want to (or will) forbid menthol ciggs.
Actually i gotta rant abit...

Worst part is EU says X is now in law. Sweden can choose to say X is Y aswell. So our gov can use EU X law to actually add an Y law aswell. Say flavorless would be the Y law. But EU approved flavors, but sweden might not. Baah...

Sorry if i can't explain it abit better, drinking abit tonight due birthday!

Aw thank you, and thank you for signing :)

Lessifer, I'll ask the local vape shops if they would please mention this to their customers.

I'll print some flyers with the URL with a short explanation WHY folks should sign, perhaps they will tape flyers by the cash registers, etc.

Thank you for you're efforts.....!

17792, I love the idea of printing out flyers @inspects. If I can get a color print cartridge this next weekend I may do a handful and hit the beach (Hampton) with them. Almost every corner shop that sells cool little things has vape gear so I can ask if they will put on counter or in windows. Oh and I did post petition in the comments part of the video interview with a rather ditzy doctor on "The Greg Gutfeld Show". Not what I had wanted, but it may help. I wanted a stand alone post to be seen better.
