I’m also for getting anybody to do anything at all, considering how many people
vape and what few numbers there are doing anything about the deeming. Whatever anybody does is a major achievement. It boils down to attacking every angle.
One good thing about the petition is that when a CTA does come up, Lessifer sends out an update to everyone that has signed it, nearly 50,000 people so far. The petition has been put up by major manufacturers, vape shops to bands’ FB pages, no joke. Many are people that have never heard of CASAA or even the deeming. They have now, that’s a big win.
Spent half the day POed about a news story on the radio saying HUD wants to make public housing smoke free. Yeah, right, take it out on the poor, where will they be able to move? Bet there will be some noise about that from the residents. Went to look up a news story for you and got quite the shock. (Italics mine, obviously.)
The rule would ban lit tobacco products — cigarettes, cigars or pipes — in all residences, indoor common areas and administrative offices. Smoking also would be prohibited outdoors within 25 feet of housing and administrative buildings. Electronic cigarettes that emit vapor but not smoke would not be subject to the ban.

Gave you a like for taking it to the streets. If you know how to make them do it, I’d love to hear about it. It’d be great if they, anyone, took to the streets.
As you know, you were here early on, none of this is working. We started this when no one was doing a damned thing to try to raise awareness. We have and have done it by nothing more than word of mouth, so to speak. The bloggers? Nothing, they don’t want to be bothered except to tow the “party line.” Very disappointing. Shouldn’t we pursue every possible avenue now? We’re talking about people’s lives at this point. People are going to die miserable, expensive deaths if the deeming come through.
I’m POed, how about you? Sign the freaking petition and while you’re at it, sign this one too.
White house petition Want to do everything you can, sign the bloody petitions, may not do any good but there will be tangible evidence on those petitions that someone cared. The press can point to those numbers. Vaping wasn’t the only campaign calling the White House that day, think it was also something about gun control(?). Do you really think that they, no matter which party is in control, cares who calls in? Jesus, look at world affairs, vaping isn’t high on the barometer.
Have you seen the canned responses from politicians people are getting about this? They are a joke. “I’ll keep your views in mind…” They can’t say they are for or against but do have a canned response. ...? The bottom is, save for where sanity falls, they don’t give a rat’s .... where the line falls as long as they see the monetary payoff. The choice is up to you if you want to say you did everything you could or just what you perceived to be important.
Either way you go, it’s okay. I just wish we’d, all vapers, all take into consideration those just starting out or new vapers that haven’t had the chance to stockpile. I hope I have at no cost to them. It’s the least I can do.
You make a good point but I think in the overall scheme of things, it falls flat.
Besides, I'm not looking forward to running naked though ECF.
