A really refreshing positive vaping article from Rolling Stone, ECF link posted by DrMa.

Highly influential (and positive) article in Rolling Stone

It's nice to see an open-minded and objective reporting media outlet, kudos to RS.
Overall a great article, thank you for posting the link Jim!

Quibble: Is it just me or does anyone else have an objection to the term nicotine-laced? I don’t eat baked potatoes laced with bacon bits, don’t eat ice-cream laced with sprinkles. They do put out bait laced with cyanide to kill predators or little critters that might muss up some rich person’s lawn. They even “laced” feed in the gated community below us to kill the Canadian Geese because they were pooping on their docks and golf course, they still use pictures of the geese to promote how rustic the community is, even though they lace feed to kill off many of the deer down there. Brownies are “laced” with other stuff, unless it’s for medical purposes, then they are infused. Apparently Rolling Stone doesn’t realize there is 0mg liquid. :(

They called out "Still Blowing Smoke." :thumb:

I’vegot SG’s shoe on slow broil. Anyone have some spare, super fresh BS to use as a sauce? :D

They got the diacetyl in cigarettes in there! :thumb:

A lot of good stuff though there are two other points I found cringe worthy. The paragraph that starts out with, “While nicotine can be ingested in a variety of generally harmless ways, it is only when inhaled that its full powers — and potential for addiction — are unlocked. From the lungs it reaches the brain within seconds, providing the satisfying jolt that smokers crave.” Seems murky/not clear. Anybody get a head rush vaping? I never have, even when vaping 24mg. I’ve been nic sick but had to work at it. Perhaps I’m becoming so skeptical that I miss the point but the point doesn’t seem to be clear to me. They don’t address BT’s toxic soup. Again, may just be me. I thought the article rocked almost all the way around.

The other part, that I can’t find right now, said something about smoking being a "senseless" habit. BT’s chemical soup makes it an addictive habit. I’ve quit other “senseless” habits with little effort. If smoking were merely senseless, I’d have quit smoking soon after I started decades ago. Over four decades ago. Anyway, since I can’t find it again, perhaps it was a sarcastic remark that I misinterpreted.

Somehow Godzilla as a Christmas decoration seems to miss the mark on the whole, "peace on earth good will toward men" kinda vibe.

Peace on earth - or else?
In my defense, I'd like to point out that it had benign pink plates (?) and went up to the third story.

Or else? Like that idea a lot. Perhaps send it to the Middle East?

How's this one?

Dear FlamingoTutu, you need no defense at all. I was more wondering at a Mall putting it up for display. I at least hope they put out some other things more in keeping with the season and if that Mall was in Japan, maybe it already was. :D

Love the Christmas Gala(h) tree! :w00t:

Yeah I do agree, some of the terms/words used in the article rubbed me a little wrong too, but I just attributed it to the lack of knowledge of appropriate terminology by the author. I do though still appreciate the author's effort. :thumb:

I agree that overall it was an interesting article but like you, I did have a qualms about some of the wording. It is not just you. That one rubbed me the wrong way too. May contain nicotine would have been much better than nicotine-laced. That brings poison to my mind and probably to most anyone that reads it

I agree, I can't fault him too much though. There are vapers, on this forum, who have been members for years, who still refer to nicotine as if it's the devil's nectar.

The comments on that article, thus far, are disgusting.
And it clearly shows how HATED nicotine users really are.

Yeah, some of the comments. I saw this good one, though:
It’s quite strange how people spent years pushing smokers outside and .....ing them out for their unhealthy habit, and now that there’s a safer alternative, ostensibly anti-bullying sites like Gawker still feel the need to mock and denigrate them
