Yes, you will get a little spam but it will be directed at what you have expressed interest in. I signed a few after signing this one—stopping the practice of a dog meat festival in China, asking that an elephant chained with sharp metal spikes digging (inches) into its legs be released to a local animal welfare group, etc.—and that’s what I have received, notifications of other similar petitions.
I did receive one asking I sign a petition asking for a smoking ban. Yeah, right.
There aren’t that many notifications. The good news is, you will get Les’ updates which are usually sent out when some city/state/country has serious legislation pending against vapors. It’s always good to be aware and help where you can. Never noticed an uptick in junk mail and they probably wouldn’t last long if they sold email addys anyway. Even if you have to click delete a couple of times, know there are many more than a couple of clicks that sincerely appreciate your taking the time to try and save vaping, let alone millions of lives.

That was rather sudden, did they sneak this bill through?
While I just gave it a quick read, I did see that this bill firmly makes vaping a tobacco product. So absurd, as by using that misguided logic, boiling a pot water will be concidered tobacco product.
It looks like smoke, must be tobacco, duh.
It is such a shame that political agendas are trying to overshadow objective science.

I got the CASAA alert earlier this week that the bills were back in committee, I don't think I saw anything about them being approved and sent to the floor, let alone being voted on and passed... Aren't there supposed to be procedural processes like a certain number of days something has to be posted to an agenda or something like that?

From what I gathered, it was part of a "special session on the budget", so they probably got to ignore / rewrite all the rules as they saw fit...
