In the Mountains
Chubby sewer rat got stuck in a manhole cover in Germany. A little girl finds it, rescue workers show up, free it, take some photos and post them on FB, release rat back into sewer.

Hello everyone!
:)
OMG, good to see you and congrats on retiring! Since you retired, you can start using nic again, right? ;)
Hmmmm... using nicotine again...
(wish I could)

Unfortunately, I am now on Cobra and don't know what the future holds for health insurance.

But my wife has been diagnosed with Myotonic Dystrophy so I don't think it would be wise to risk it.
Not until I know what the other options are once Cobra expires.
I'll be looking into that in a few months or so.

If I violate the terms of Cobra my health insurance would get cancelled...
Which is different (and worse) than how it would be handled when I was working.
Some very sad news if you haven't heard, Robino1 passed away in October.
I had not heard, and I wish I hadn't heard.
I didn't even know she had any health issues.

She was a wonderful person and an amazing light for truth.
I wish I had a chance to tell her that.
Nice to see one of the Old Guard again. Hope everything is Going Well for you.
Nice to see you guys too.
:)

Everything is going well for the most part, and I'm surely keeping busy.
Got a lot of vacations planned, and quite a few irons in the fire.
Retirement might be more work than I thought!
LOL

@DC2, good to see you again! I'm very sorry to hear about your wife. I don't really know anything about Myotonic Dystrophy but it doesn't sound pleasant and I hope it's treatable. I'll have to study up more on it. I'm assuming it's treatable with all the vacations planned. Do tell where you are planning on going. :)

We were on COBRA about 10 years ago. Didn't have many health problems back then, other than my usual allergies, so don't really remember what glitches there were. Nicotine wasn't an issue back then though.I'll just leave it at I don't have any respect for the medical community at large these days. I could tell you stories...

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you about Robin. Those of us that knew or interacted with her are still really upset about what happened. I suspected something was wrong but didn't know how serious it was until the end. If you read through the thread I linked, it's amazing how many people she touched. :nun: Moderator sightings are very far and in between these days.

Please, don't be such a stranger, stop by and keep us updated every couple of weeks and have a blast on those vacations! It was good to see you again.

True, being retired is hard work :)

If you clear-cut you wouldn't be so busy. Yeah, stay busy.
