Here's an update on my carto situation with my new Cobalt Blue Tank. After washing it out and ridding it of the offending carto destoyer juice, I filled it up with some well known bakery juice (SLGBC). It was good with no leaks but that high VG that vendor uses sure does much it hard for the carto to absorb the liquid. After vaping about 3mls of the stuff I removed the top cap and poured out the rest into a 5ml dripper bottle (found a great cheap, local source in Bangkok in lots of 100 PE/PP bottles). After draining the juice I put in a nice 70/30 pg/vg 8mg/ml Green Tea-Chrysanthemum juice my brother made up for me a few days ago. It flows beautifully in the DCT XL carto (1.5 ohm on an Ego Mod tube) with no leaking and vapes wonderfully. I think for a lot of people it could be an all day vape. So my tank is now happy, my carto is now happy and I am still happy (always loved my tank). I hope I win a new tank in the contest. My budget has been beat up by all this vaping stuff but now that I have gone Phin it is hard to go back to polycarbonate tanks.

Edit: See the avatar in the post above mine? That is my brother's tank. We bought twin, tall boy blue cobalt tank with our own custom artwork sandblasted on to them (Chris and Moorea did a fab job on the sandblasting and masking) and both faces are on opposite sides of both tanks. I am the smiling face and my brother is the grumpy face. I lit my tank up for my avatar to give it a flowing look but some people tell me it looks scary. LOL

Sweet, Dark, and VG are three types of juices that have a negative effect on cartos. Primarily it's wicking issues and decreased lifespan of the carto itself. There are several methods of getting good performance out of them though. One is to punch bigger holes. Or you can punch 3 standard sized holes. To allow more juice to enter for better wicking.

The reason why sweet and dark juices effect a carto. Is that they leave sediment in the filler material. Which clogs it up and leads to a tighter draw. So, if you can get around 3-5 days from a carto normally. Using the three types of juices that I've mentioned. Then you'll be getting anywhere from 2-4 days.

Good info. Thanks for that.

Black with sandblasted tribal skull and tribal tattoos on the sides that meet in the back

If you shine a light through it can you see the juice? On the cobalt blue I can see the juice level if I shine a very bright light through the tank. I was wondering if black you can do the same or is it completely opaque?

You could put a freaking torch behind this thing to light it and use a magnifying glass and still you wouldn't see through it lol.... But it's still the coolest tank around :)

Unfortunately, I believe the juice is attacking something inside the cartomizer. I tried two cartomizers and both just kept flooding and juice coming out the center of the battery connector. I never had any juice do that before so I have to conclude, at least in my old mind, that the juice not only damages plastic tanks but can also damage the insides of some cartomizers and cause them to flood.

Tank working great with another juice, but somehow I lost the bottom, inner o-ring when I removed the carto, took the tank apart and washed it (sent you a PM regarding o-ring). I guess it popped out when I removed the bad carto and I did not notice. I watched the video before so putting in the new o-ring only took me about one minute. It started out looking like it would never go in but once I got it in there and massaged it, it stayed in place and looked happy in there.

So far, so good. No more carto flooding and leaking from the battery connector. Since the juice killed two brand new cartos I am concluding the juice damaged the inside of the cartos somehow.

Have you considered the possibility that the tank was missing the bottom o-ring from the beginning, so the juice was not at all to blame? If I were you, I'd try your juice again.

I read in another thread that SmokTech had recently changed their filler material and no matter what they all taste like crap. I'll try to find that thread and link it. Are you using SmokTechs, jackbox?

NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just started using Smoktech 2.0 single coils. They're the first filler cart that has kept their flavor for me for more than a day. I'm going to be super ...... if that is no longer true.

The O-Ring was there for the first two tanks and the first two cartomizers. You can tell when an o-ring is missing as there is no resistance at all when putting in the cartomizer. It came out when taking the tank apart to clean it out. The juice was leaking directly from the center of the cartomizer airhole on the battery connector. If I took the tank off the battery I could see the juice coming out the hole. Jennifer and Chris are very careful and they do not send out tanks with missing o-rings. Also, I took the tank apart before first use to take my avatar picture and I saw all four o-rings in their proper places.

I keep telling everyone that ... I told you that! Yet people still want them.

I am thinking, if you sling shotted yourself into outer space and headed to the sun when you got as close to the sun as possible without frying at that point if you held the tank up facing the sun ....

You probably still could not see the juice inside, but if you could any where that would be it!

I certainly didn't intend to infer anything negative about Phiniac or their products. I've both purchased their products and promoted them to others. I've just never heard of a juice so potent that it can't be held by a metal cartomizer. (Of course, that doesn't mean it isn't possible. I'm sure that I have plenty to learn about vaping.)

If the orings were in place, is it possible the center tube of the cart was pierced? I know I've done it before when punching carts, resulting in gurgling and juice running out of the bottom of my tank. It doesn't take much. I've taken them apart and you can't even see the hole, just that the fabric is looser in one place.
