...IF i have to vape thicker juices, i put it on the 3ml phoenix because its easier to squeeze the tube with my fingers every now&then (works almost like a bottom feed mod). this way you "force" juice into the coils...works slick. (it does work on the smaller phoenix too but the tube is smaller, hence little tougher to squeeze....

I tried doing that on the smaller Phoenix. I got absolutely fascinated with watching the little bubbles drift out of the wick hole... Like little pearls on a string... Soooo pretty...

Before I knew it, my juice was running out the bottom.

Perhaps it is time that you drop your NIC level.... :D

Just a heads up.
The 3ml phoenix works great. It's producing as much vapor as lr atty + dripping. The small ones are good too, but since it won't last me a day (or at least 9-10 hours) it's a no go.
The metal cover makes the draw too stiff for my taste, but after removing it, it's perfect.
I know that vacuum is required for these to wick properly, so once again i trimmed the wick, and removed some strands from the end of it.
I can tolerate this much fiddling, since i only have to do this once on each.
I'm also thinking about dropping my nic level next time i cook juice... too many overdose accidents happening nowdays... :D

ps: If gotvapes likes this modular stuff idea, maybe they could sell the bottom part separately as well. I'm not so keen on buying the metal cover, the end cup, the driptib, the inner/outer tube, the seal every time my coil gets used up.
Also, it's really popular nowdays to be eco-friendly :p

I will have to try LordDavon's mod for the 3ml Phoenix...the size of the tank with the cover and cap is overwhelming...on a 1000mah eGo passthrough it's almost a foot long. Not the look I like. I bought one 3ml Phoenix and a box of the XLs. I haven't used the 3ml yet, mainly due to the size.

I've only used one of the XLs, ran one fill thru it and thought, would this fit in my ARRY tank? The ARRY tank is designed to take the innards of a clear CE2, so why not try it? I got the ARRY tanks from Stormy's, but unfortunately the original ones are no longer available (ARRY has moved on to more elaborate/expensive tanks for punched DC cartos). It fits a little tighter in the bottom than a CE2 does and I actually have to whack it pretty good to remove it but it works. I'm on my 3rd tank now and it's still going strong. I've rinsed and dry burned between fills and it seems to have a warmer vape now than it did at first...maybe I'm just getting used to it.

So here it is...

Works good and looks a lot cleaner than the CE2 with wires and wicks visible in the tank...

i used to make syringe tanks that just take the clearo ce2 guts. stuck a phoenix in one but i think i messed the top seal up cuz it wouldn't stop leaking :(
will prolly try again though lol

we will get spare 3ml for those that bought the covers already but the new 3ml exclusively modded for gotvape will now come withouth a cover and look similar to what lorddavon showed you all in the video.

Will the cover still fit on those? I really like the cover, it makes the whole thing look finished to me and I don't mind how long it is with or without the cap on. This is actually more aesthetically pleasing to me than the stardust, even the green one. I could get the replacements you say you're getting, but I want the new one, too. Pretty please with sugar on top?

Hey Chris, this may sound crazy, but when you guys post instructions (like for the mod above), could you post written instructions with a couple pics if needed? Not only are my speakers not working on my laptop, I'm a speed reader and get through writing a heck of a lot faster than watching talking....just a thought. Love you guys.

I agree I like the black metal cover much better than the bare carto. It is only 1/4 inch longer than the 1.5 ml Phoenix and looks better to me.

It's funny we're all finding the same tricks to make 'em work. I'm trying to push some thick juice through still, and discovered the tank squeeze method as well. Made me think it would be a good design feature. With a hard 'pen cap' outer covering you could still carry it in your pocket, and reach through one area to 'pump' a more flexible under tank. After a few pumps i got the best hit I've yet been able to get from any juice in any carto. I've been thinning the AVE gorilla juice that's in there now with up to 20% brandy to try and get it to wick on it's own, but even then i still give it a pump now and then.

I would also like some more clear instructions with photos on how to get these to feed faster. Why does cutting the wick flush help? Wouldn't it be better to leave more wick and make the hole it goes through bigger to allow more total juice/surface area with less of a restriction point? Same with pulling out strands, seems a larger hole would be more effective and still leave the material there to feed the coil.

when we initally had bigger holes in the phoenix, thinner juice would flood it after a few minutes, the vacuum didnt help
then when we added more wick it got dry hit

now we can try to make it where you control the hole to suit everyone but the bigger holes caused more problem for thinner juice.

we are having them test one where the the hole isnt a hole but a long slant, and as you turn it , it will open more of the slant starting with little exposure(hole) to a huge one but gradually, so you have total control, we are working on this but it will take time, new parts need to be made and we are paying to have this done.

Oh, now that sounds fantastic! Is that just for the bottom coils or the top coils too? I'd think it would work equally well for both.
