Sounds like you have something blocking the air hole on the side of the shell because it should have a very airy draw to it. If it's not cloged get a screwdriver or nail and try to make the hole wider...that will solve the issue.

I tried to make the draw hole larger but still tight on the draw. Im now able to get a slight draw but no flavor no TH either. Also have changed the drip tip thinking that it was causing that. But the thing is that no matter what tip im using (except the one that came with it) will not fit.

To me this sounds like your air hole is directly in front of one of the posts. This will feel like a very stiff draw, and once repositioned, it will start working properly. Take your drip tip out and look on the inside of the chamber, and look if your air hole is beside a post. If it's not, check and make sure you don't have wick in front of it either. My Ato-Miser used to cause the extra wick to push into the air hole when screwing the top cap on, and I would take a paper clip, push it into the air hole, and wiggle it around to get it out of the way.

If you have a file kit, run it around a few times on the drip tip hole to enlarge it. Or you could take out the o-ring in your drip tip, depending on the size. You could also do this with a drill bit, but I can't remember what size is used for drip tips.

well just heated up the top section where the air hole is and low and behold there a wax like coating along the inside of the piece (the draw hole). Shove a standard paper clip through and and came out the bottom side with crap on it. Getting a nice draw now.. So i dont know what it was but there was nothing there yesterday, but i also didnt heat up the tube.

Yourdog,
Got my 100 ft. of 34 nichrome here with no shipping cost for $8.50 total
PnJ Resources, LLC : Nichrome 80

Got the candle wick from amazon
Amazon.com: Cotton Square Braid Candle Wick - #1/0: Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Boiled it for about 30 min. just to be safe.

Thank you Luther, I ordered me some of that wick :D

Have you, or anybody, ordered from Jacobs-online.biz? They have a good selection of Nichrome and are about the same price.. Well I am having trouble with my rebuildable.. I use silica, and have tried ss mesh, but when I go to add the fluid, I am getting this really flavorless vape, good vapor, very strong throat hit(too much).. I don't know what to do.. But if it gets too dry it is much worse tasting than getting a dry hit in an atty, I can't explain this taste. Does anyone know what my problem could be? I normally do 5/4 wraps but have also tried 4/3, each the same result, ss mesh is a lot better but I am still getting a funky taste.. Is it the nichrome? I burn it with a lighter before I put it all together.. After I put it all together, I try to fix the hotspots.. I don't know what to do.. :(

I would use Kanthal it gives a better taste. Nichrome is for attys that require soldering. Wrap your wick loosely using a paperclip along side your wick. Once you get the coil screwed down into place make sure it's far away from the plastic on the posts. Unravel your wicks a bit and put a few strands down into the bottom and leave 1 or 2 going up into the shell casing for better wicking. Then make sure the air hole on the shell is not infront of your posts by twisting it back and forth. If your getting too much TH it's prob because you have too much extra wire leading from the wick to the posts.

Rebuilt mine with 100% egyptian cotton #4 i got from Hobby Lobby(that place rocks)It is hitting great excellent vp,th,flavor.4 wraps 32g Kanthal around 5 strands of the #4(is that the size?)cotton thread.I can vape for a while with 10-12 drops.I did a test when i boiled the thread and cheesecloth(food grade HL)I placed them both on a paper towel n let them air dry.The thread was still wet HOURS after the cheesecloth was dry.Going on a full day and its just getting better.
Side note:Will tapatalk let me post pics from iphone?

The diagram shows how to use horizontal duals.I am also eagerly awaiting optimo's video.I have been using a single mesh wick since last night and it's pretty good.I am gonna stick with it and see if it gets better over time because the flavor is just so clean.

For dual coils on the Phoenix...you want to put one wick/coil on the outside of the posts and the other wick/coil on the outside of the other side leaving the middle open to feed the wicks into. builds.jpg<click on it

You also want to make sure that both of your coils are the same resistance so one won't burn hotter than the other.
