i also don't know what state of charge the batteries are in my precise for the video :) i'd say somewhere around 4 volts? they are 2 AW 3.2 batteries that i had been using a bit, so i'd say 4-5 maybe. The coil held up just fine.

Nice work for your first time...glad that you got it working for you. Amazing flavor aint it? :)

There's not much you can do about the juice leaking out the side air hole I always just take caution when I lay it down to put the air hole facing up and no worries.

im sure there are videos on it but the ss mesh to buy is the 400? is there differences in TH or vapor in the 325? thought i read that somewhere. also i see on ebay a 1ft x 1ft piece is about $15. thats not a bad deal is it?

I've never tried anything other than 400 because it works so great with all my juices so not sure on that. I got a 6x6 for like 5 bucks free shipping off ebay and it's prob enough to last a year or 2 maybe more.

I normally use 50/50 or 70/30, but mostly 50/50. Haven't had any trouble yet with wicking. This whole wick thing is kind of interesting. Some people say 325 will wick thicker juices better, but on the other hand, some say 500 will wick all juices better. I ordered a hunk of 400, which works well for me, so I'm staying with it for now.

ok cool. how big of a piece do you use for the phoenix? and after its black how i know if its gunked up and when to clean it?

You'll need a pretty small piece for the regular Phoenix. I use about a 1 inch x 1/2 inch piece. Space your coils out really far and you won't have to clean it nowhere near as often. The closer your coils are the quicker it gunks up.

thx optimo for the new product videos. I don't see it on eshots site yet, but i'll watch for it at vendors. I agree dripping is so easy, that's all i ever do. Especially with my Phoenix rba. Couldn't be easier. Never thought i'd change a wick just because i want to, instead of 'have to'. It's so easy and no more wasted $$ with inferior atties or cartos.

how do you keep all your juice from dripping down on your Smoktech mod? does that sleeve really do a good job in drip mode?

thx again for a great review of a new product that looks pretty good.

Here's a follow-up review on the newest creation from Eshotsph.com

Np, I never have a problem with juice dripping down unless I remove the sleeve when there's still juice in there then I just wipe it off...not really sure what you're getting at there but yeah the sleeve works great I forgot to say in the video that they added something on the inside that keeps juice from coming out the top when held upside down and it's hard to get it to drip out the air hole on the side as well.

Still lovin my phoenix rebuildable! I got a young june so i know the ohms now which is cool. Someone gifted me several new atomizers, but i can't bring myself to use them just yet. i always go back to my phoenix ;-)

anyone else having problems with drip tips snapping off on the phoenix? I've been thru 3 so far. The bottom portion of the drip tip just snaps off below the O-rings on them. I assume it's the heat that the phoenix puts off?

thx!

It's an amazing little RBA for what it is that's for sure :) I've never heard of the drip tip issue. I use metal ones and they do heat up quite alot when chain vaping so I could see plastic ones becoming brittle overtime and snapping.

Open up the drip tip hole a bit with some sandpaper until the tip fits nicely. I had to adjust all 5 of the ones I have. Are the tips pretty tight fitting right now? I'll bet the expansion of the metal from the heat is causing the snappage.

thx guys. i think you're right and it's the heat melting the plastic on the bottom snapping the drip tip. i have a couple older drip tips here that didn't fit, so i'll try reaming out the phoenix hole with some sandpaper when this drip tip breaks. right now i'm using one of those 360 deg rotating drip tips until it breaks.

hey optimo, i went to the PH site the other day and they were down to rehab the website. do you have a link to the new one that you like with the drip shield? i really want to give one of those a try. especially if they have a piece in there to keep juice from coming out the hole. that's the only thing that still gives me probs. especially on higher voltages. it almost boils the juice i think and it will bubble out the hole :)

thank you everyone for turning me on to this great atomizer :)

There was a pretty choice co-op over on NV for the XL version of these things. Definitely a step up, and I'm sure Optimo would agree. Work really really well. Not a bad buy for like $8. I got 4 of them. A bit nicer to work with. Still using my original stash of these though.

Oh, and the drip tips fit fine with these XLs...

If you are asking about the Magno SS drip tank system RBA, other than Eshots and co-ops I don't know anywhere else that you can get them right now unfortunately. Hopefully they will hit US vendors soon.
