Maybe someone can set me straight on my confusion on the tank materials. I just ordered the one from 3FVape here:
Pico Silver 3ml Stainless Steel PEI RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer
This is what they say on their compare to original page:
"This RTA comes with 2 tanks, one PEK tank (transparent) and one PEI tank (yellow). The transparent tank is made of peek and the yellow one is made of PEI (Polyetherimide), PEI has a good stability and very resistant to heat, abrasion, acids, alkali and high temperature. As we all know acrylic is not that friendly to pure VG juice. But when you use this PEI tank , you can use high VG e-liquid."
First of all I know what "peek" is, fairly expensive material used to insulate internal electrical tank positive/negative posts etc. The Chinese at least for this product listing uses the letters "PEK", ok let's say that's shorthand. But isn't the clear tank "acrylic", some sites say PMMA, not sure what those letters mean, but I think of acrylic as PLASTIC. "PEEK" is not transparent from what I've ever seen.
But the chamber is supposedly made of PEEK material, which we all know is super heat resistant, I believe it is also called "Ultem", the yellow color. The "peek" I usually see in small pieces in tanks, usually looks "off white". But as you can see from their above statement, their "yellow" tank is made of "PEI", not sure what that is in comparison.
So with all that confusion, I'm thinking translation issues perhaps. For the sake of getting some help, I'm going to assume ???:
1) The clear tank is PLASTIC? Not whatever "PEK" is?
2)The YELLOW tank is "Ultem", NOT PEEK? Don't know what "PEI" really is.
3)The chamber is "PEEK", the off white material. This is the only one that is clear and makes sense to me.
Sorry for the long post, just wanted to make my questions as clear as possible. Appreciate any clarifications, but please don't guess if you don't know or care, I'll just get more confused!
