Might take this to the range today... If I can get my daughter to come. I don't like to go to the State ranges alone.
he, he ... when I built my 'custom' rifle what I spent on specialized tools, jigs. etc. I could have bought a complete rifle.
Anywho - this is the torque driver I picked up and I'm happy with it. I forget why, now, I chose it over the Wheeler F.A.T wrench. (I also paid around 1/2 of what's showing as the price in this link).

Tomorrow is going to be fun. Ton of stuff showing up so I can get to working on finishing this rifle. Most important will be the bore sight laser. Should be able to get the red dot pretty close to zero. Once everything is set up, off to the range to play.

I STILL haven't been able to fire the danged thing! As soon as I do one thing, I find I need another
tool.Now to head to the range and get the sights zeroed in. I was going to use the laser to get it close here at the house, but.... Where's the fun in that when I have a few hundred rounds of range ammo to play with?!

My local range has a Henry .45-70 lever action for a very sweet price (under $900). I am SOOOOOO tempted.
I didn't have a 'spot' for an actual safe in the previous house. So, I settled for a Stack-On cabinet to be able to keep everything under lock and key. Last year when we moved to another house, I added the black cabinet to avoid the over crowded original green one. A safe would be nice to have as I now have 'room for one. But at this point in my life, I'll just stick with what I have.
Hmmmmm. It's tempting and a hell of a lot lighter (and most likely cheaper) than a 250-350 pound safe. The only drawback being there's no fire protection in the unlikely event of a fire. This is definitely something I need to think on.

Are any of your firearms 'collector' or 'sentimental' pieces? If not, adjusting your homeowners insurance is another way to cover the loss in the event of a fire.
