I wanted to wait for the top gear, etc before taking/posting pictures, but they’ll take some time to get custom made, so.....

My first ever ProVari came last Friday… and my second ProVari came along with it..…

Got a Stealth Mini V2.5, and “the” Desert Tan Military *Prototype* - both with extension caps.

After reading H2o Front’s post and seeing his pictures it made the Stealth Mini a no brainer, I had to have one. But the opportunity to get a one-of-a-kind prototype was a surprise and an immediate given that the DTM would come live with me as well.

Some might say that the star’s were aligned with Jupiter for me to get two special ProVari’s as my very first. Actually it was all thanks to The Man at VapeForce. He has a soft spot in his heart for Vietnam Vets, it came up during the long conversation when he called me as we were becoming fast friends and was offered.

ProVari has no immediate plans to market this military model. Even if they do later it will be different, and will not have black end caps. So it is a true one-of-a-kind. It’s a V1 tube but has V2 ‘tronics, and the red LED to follow along with night ops. It was just referred to as a tan military prototype by PV, but to pay tribute to our service men and women in the Middle East I’m officially calling it the Desert Tan Military (DTM). I get to do that, it’s mine now. :2cool:

The best things come in three’s, so I’ll be getting another as soon as I decide which one.

Best picture I could get on short notice with the point and shoot Canon 10MP. Good enough to get the idea I hope even if the tan color is off. It is a true to life desert tan military color, brown and not at all "yellow" like the picture appears.

Spydro out.

Nice!

It's so funny, but I was looking at cerakote colors last night trying to predict what ProVape might produce next. The only colors left on the basic color wheel are yellow and orange, neither of which strike me as having strong sales potential. One also has to take into consideration that cerakote has a limited palette. Tan was on my short list of possibilities! Dang I wish I'd posted my prediction before your pictures, to further illustrate my awesomeness.

Interesting Oce... I just pulled up the cerakote color charts, both the H and C Series, and none of them match the DTM. In fact none of them are even very close to it. No idea how accurate the "swatches" are I am looking at, but I know it's not my new state of the art monitor. I also know what military desert tan looks like though, I have paracord and other examples of it... and this is it.

I doubt the swatches are accurate, plus ProVape might mix a custom color. I was just looking at potential shades. It crossed my mind that they might try a simple pattern, but it would be a pain. The Zombie was easy, since the red was randomly splashed on.

NICE!! I'm very tempted by the stealth mini, since I don't have a black ProVari in my arsenal...yet. But I am holding out for the ever-elusive polished mini; it haunts my dreams.

I'm oddly attracted to the V1 body style. I guess I'm a Pripster. The V2.5 is so mainstream.

Pripster. Heh. Got skinny jeans to go with that vape?

The color yall are looking for in cerakotes chart is Flat Dark Earth, "FDE".

Well, it comes down to the accuracy of the swatches as suggested, but the H-265/C-246 Flat Dark Earth on the color chart is not even close to the color of this device... and when I stay "not even close" that is by a large margin, as in not even in the same realm of being close to the same shade of brown. LOL It's not a yellowish brown, it's not a greenish brown, nor is it a a redish brown shade... it is light tan.

If I was forced to pick anytyhing from the swatches in the mentioned chart that is even within the same general shade of brown as the device it would have to be somewhere between the H-154 Medium Brown and H-254 Muddy River color "SHADES"..... to my eyes anyway.

Closer than any of the swatches... in your attached picture, the lightest tan in the lower right corner of your Glocks holster is the closest to it in that picture... IOW, not yellowish, not greenish, not redish - it's "Desert Light Tan" FCOL!!! ;)
