I took a DSE901 flat tip cart that I moded to fit a KR8 carto, and I found it was just a little too loose on the SS carto. I wrapped two layeres of clear tape around the carto, edge of tape butted up against the ecge of the cart before it goes flat. Then trimmed the tape around the air hole and cart edge. Wah Lah!

Now THAT is too cool. Kinda makes me want to take up dog friends again. I'm a cat person, but had a dog when I was a teenager. A couple years ago, I met a pitbull that was just the sweetest, friendliest dog. But when there was someone coming in the yard that dog would do it's guard dog duty and scare the CRUD out of whoever happen to be considering illegaly entering the property. Very cool dog.

You know? W/ the flat tip, it actually draws much better, and whistles less. I believe that is due to the venturi effect from going through the tunnel in the cart. I believe that the increase velocity of the draw activates the switch better. I'd love for someone else to try it and see what they think. I can probably round up some 901/510 flat tips if you don't have any. LMK

not for sale.....sorry. And I didnt get one.....I just got the picture. :)

spacekitty......a whole box? see....that is why I'm a dog person.....cats are never satisfied and they only come around when THEY want to come around......RFLOL!

ok....fine.....I'll try the 510 tip........I actually prefer plastic to aluminum......easier on the teeth. Especially when you have to clench your jaw all day trying not to say something that will get you fired.

ps.....I'm not at all convinced that the venturi effect has anything to do with this......I think this might be closer.....however.....we need to put a CAT in a sealed box with some plutonium or something.....

-((h/2π)2/2m)(∂2Ψ(x,t)/∂x2)+V(x,t)Ψ(x,t) = j(h/2π)(∂Ψ(x,t)/∂t)

ok..so I tried it......I guess it's an individual preference thing....I did not think it improved the draw at all....and certainly was not any improvement over a lucite drip tip. I also tried an 801 flattip. Both flat tips actually made the draw seem looser and produced less vapor. However, when I opened the box the cat was dead.....so there is that.

heavens no....the subject was not wanting to have to bite on metal......I just love the lucite tips because they are well....lucite.....and they have a nice hourglass shape...perfect for preventing from biting my tongue in half when I am on the phone......hehe
Are those lucite tips available anywhere?

BTW... I'm so glad SS replaced the old Home page photos with the new ones of Katherine Keigl and Letterman. So much better. More classy.
