So. A question for you, jhhollier, and for any and all pod lovers,,, what is the draw for you for these? Is it just the diminutive size and portability? I truly am curious as to why there is such a sudden sort of rush to get into these tiny devices (I'm reticent to call them "mods").

Simplicity and portability. I was lugging multiple mods, bottles of juice and extra batteries with me to work everyday. These things? I can grab two or three, snap fresh pods on them, pop 'em in my shirt pocket and go. I have a spare USB cable at work for charging. And, at least with the Cync, it's such a satisfying vape. It doesn't match my favorite mod/atty combo for flavor but the vape is so enjoyable. I really do believe these pod mods can appeal to everyone. I tried the Cync out as a solution for work but I find myself using it quite often at home as well.

No rush per se, but when I am in a rush (which is a lot these days), grabbing 30 mL bottles, mods, tanks, drippers and such, is too much of a proposition for me. Hell, just going to the park with my daughter -- I don't want to have to carry a single thing extra. These devices are so small, I literally can travel with 10 of them on my person and not feel like I have a bit of extra "stuff".

And depending on which one we are talking, a few of these things vape well.

Makes complete sense to me, jh. I'm always on the lookout for small and portable and light. I've used the iTazte V3s and the Hana One for exactly that purpose.

I'll check out the Cync, and thank you!

"Small, portable and light" is exactly what these things are.

About the draw from the more popular pods:

  • Cync is a deep MTL or a shallow direct-lung hit.
  • Juul is sorta similar, though not nearly as substantial of a hit.
  • Von Erl is again, similar (but this thing has issues giving consistent hits. It goes on and off, literally)
  • MyJet is a pure MTL. A pretty warm, tight-ish MTL.

For me, the best draw is the Cync and the MyJet.

For strict (and a tight) MTL, go MyJet (it's a perfect MTL). For a more open draw, that can kinda be both DL or MTL, go for Cync.

Not getting into price, consistency of coils, availability and all that jazz. No more time. Hope this helps, Golden lady.

p.s. The MyJet is for use with your own liquid. And the Cync can be refilled with a unicorn bottle or a syringe (just pop out the plug at the bottom of the pod with a needle -- poke in, pull up, pop out. Fill, put back in. Done.)

Excellent info, my Manly friend!! And yes, that helps muchly.

I noticed the Cync has 3 styles. Would it be a correct guess that you guys have the Stealth version? And if so, the mAh on that is also 380?

  • micro battery of 19 mm with a capacity of 200 mAh,
  • standard battery, longer with a capacity of 380 mAh,
  • stealth battery, box format that complies with a 1.5 ml or a 2.5 ml pod.

I have all of them. My favs are the Stealth batts. Don't get the 1.5 mL batt though as the pods for that one are NEVER in stock (although, technically all the pods work with all the batts, but the 1.5 mL Stealth batt doesn't have adequate clearance for the mouthpiece of the 2.5 mL pods).

Forgive me if I missed it in any one of these threads...
But have you tried the iCare yet?

Mini or Regular?

I got the regular. The Mini I had broke while the replacement for the other regular was in the mail. I left the top off too long and all the liquid leaked out of the USB port. I think it should be retired. No? :D

I got my Juul and love it...sometimes (I like it more with my own liquids). I got a Cync coming as well as a Von Erl. I want a Xolo and a Cuevapor (Digirette) as too. Hell, I want to try them all.

What is your favorite pod mod?

p.s. Sorry if this is covered in another thread.

OK so back to the initial question I go. Which one am I enjoying the most. This is of course just my humble opinion. I should first say that I have been amazed over the years ordering an ecig or a tank that others just love. Only to find it doesn't work for me and I hate it. I found if I sometimes ordered the most disliked items I had the best luck. One example is the Kanger Subtanks. I just love them. I have good luck with them. Especially using the RBA decks. But many hate them. I guess it just amazes me that people have seemingly opposite experiences with the many different manufacturers products. I STILL don't own a Provari. :)

But in MY experience I prefer the Cync. It has its drawbacks. The pods are kind of expensive and I would never attempt to rebuild one. But I can refill them at least once and maybe twice to extend their life. And they last longer than I expected anyway. I like the five pawns pods and the Njoy berry ones. I wish they had a nifty PCC but I have several portable power pods.

I have only tried three of the pod mods so far. I also intend to try them all at some point.

I wanted to love the iCare but it just isn't for me. I do love the fact that it's refillable. Again, I myself would NEVER try to rebuild one of those tiny coils. I have had two now mess up, a regular and a mini and I will continue to use the 2 mini's till they crap out but probably will never order another. I really like the PCC and I think it's ingenious but I just have terrible luck with the devices. Probably just me.

And I have tried the Juul but it really wasn't for me. Honestly it has been in the drawer so long I can't even remember what I didn't like about it. I just know I didn't use it for very long.

So this has been my experience which means absolutely nothing. But I wanted to share.

MyVonERL hands down. So much better and much more affordable vs. JUUL. Refill is so easy and I swear, I can refill a single pod 10 times with no loss of performance. Their support is great too! I was JUUL girl but $$$. Crazy price for so little liquid. Anyway, that's my $0.02 :)
