I think the feeling of disappointment expressed in this thread is a reflection of some of us in the community who have become frustrated by the over abundance of Vaping Reviewers who most likely began with the best of intentions, developed a following, got sucked into the money machine by manufacturers and retailers, and still purport to be Only in it to Help the Masses, while shamelessly pimping stupidity and garbage for the highest bidder.
It's not just RT who I feel (all are certainly entitled and encouraged to form their own opinions) has departed from his well-intentioned roots. I'm not going to start a roll call, but if you've ever seen YouTube on teh interwebz you can formulate your own. Vape reviewing has become a kind of cottage industry, and some of those engaged no longer have our best interests at heart I fear.
On the flip side, kudos to those who have stuck to their guns and resisted the temptation and offers to become walking, breathing advertising billboards, resting on a bully pulpit based on past performance and YouTube followers. As an example of "the good guys" I would offer Todd, who, right or wrong, always tried to do the right thing and put in hella work to provide the most solid, informative, honest and unbiassed opinions on gear he could. Sadly, he also found out what happens to popular reviewers who, when approached with offers to play the game, refuse and continue to try to do what's best for those who were watching his reviews. Think it doesn't happen this way? Ask Mooch, who is currently Fighting the Good Fight to keep us informed with accurate information about battery safety in the face of some big manufacturers who wish he'd stop telling the truth based on empirical testing.
