Are you using an AW 18500, or an AW IMR 18490? I looked back at the oring guide and it says to try one thick oring, 1 thin oring and 3 washers for the 18490.

Might have to take you up on the beer + ELA! I think I'm going to be pretty inconsolable once people start getting theirs from the first batch.

Absolutly! And look on the bright side... You'll have two SW's and a Vella to comfort you if it gets really bad. Lol

The batteries... 18490. I don't think AW makes an 18500 IMR. As for the o-rings... Mine didn't come with any so I improvised at Lowes. I think I have a total of 4 or 5 mm of lift to get it to reach the top.

I have 3 P+ ...ooops just sold one but the buttons work great on all as far as i know, i got used to it from my hybrid, and now when i pick up a side button mod, i press the bottom out of habit :)

don't understand how the batt could be a prob jasl90, since SuperT says they made them specifically for AW IMR (yay!) ...mine fits perfect and it has looks like 4 brass washers... i initialy thought the atty connector was a prob but i just loosed the connector pin on the attys for firing when needed...

*I will buy any ShockWave that someone wants/needs to sell...

i'd like to have a collection of superT mechanicals ...

- maybe one day David would reconsider a flat bottom button design... but until then i'm not complaining.
It should be easy to configure a desktop mod holder for superT mechanical OD spec.

LOL, all I have are shockwave pictures I could trade for another ELA....Shockwave, though beautiful was just too big for me. Im a "petite flower" Thats same reason , though so many kept recommending the Silver Bullet, it was just too big. I ended up getting my Sabers, and they are big enough but at least more refined looking.

That's all about the spring and not the throw.

Now, I understand what "adjustable throw" means in the description for the ELA. Thinking it will be a good feature, as my hands have some nerve damage and sometimes I have problems with dexterity. If I can get it nice and light on the touch that will be good for me.

david- i know i am in the second batch. im happy for everyone that got in the first. id like to know if u think 2nd batch might get theres by july?

Yes, we're already running some parts for the second batch (since we still had more buttons and adj. draw caps for the first batch, we're just running the second batches too since the machine is all set up for them).

Recap:

-Precise ELA Hybrid Adjustable Center Post:

• We wanted to take the ultra-reliable, no leak design of Super-T’s press-in Rhodium over Gold plated center post and make it adjustable. Our innovative Hybrid design does just that!
• Our Hybrid design is unique in that, unlike full-floating/self-adjusting designs, no matter how tight you compress down the sections and center post onto the battery, none of that force will transfer up through the center post to your atomizer which can cause atomizer shorts.
• Atomizer positively seats on the top cap with no play or wobble and the user can adjust the post height and force applied to the atomizer center pin. No more shorting atomizers!

Note the attention to detail with machined in flats that accept a 7/16 or 11mm wrench. Normally, you'll be able to just adjust it with your fingers, but, should it get stuck, it beats the heck out of taking a pliers to your precious mod!

- Super-T ELA: Quality you can see! The ELA's internal finish is of higher quality then most competitors external finish is. Bringing the machining in house will definitely yield big dividends going forward in quality.

Precise ELA's extension tube interior finish VS. a popular competitors extension tube interior:

-Top Cap shown with non-adjustable draw cover for Atomizers, Tanks, Rbas.

Two things to note:

1. Atomizers and tanks get tightened down solidly against the cap and the center post is adjusted up to the atomizer/tank/rba. Makes it rock solid with no wobble!

2. The center slotted section is raised .005 above the surrounding cover for airflow when using tanks, which allows you to still tighten the tank all the way down rock solid, yet maintain airflow and an integrated look.

-Top cap with adjustable draw cover.

Two things to note:

1. The atomizer stays put, it did not move, only the covers were switched from the previous picture.

2. Air enters 360 degrees around the atomizer through the top of the cover. Twist to adjust draw.

great pic of you...sorry about the kitty...the dude over your left shoulder is creeping me out LOL

Id love to see an ELA dressed in Black. Then it would be absolute perfection, IMO, at least.

Black body...red rings. woot.

Watching the time line of production, I’d be shocked if it took as long as July to get all the orders built and shipped.

It reads to me that all prototyping and product adjustment was complete around 03/30/13 and the programming (you’re CNC take soildworks models, David?) and tooling should be 100% locked down.

Batch #1 is going to ship this week, but production looks like it really ramped up 3/20. Shipping is estimated 5/1.

Remove a week for prototyping, adjusting, and other tooling and programming issues that come with a first production run and you get a 5 week lead time for second batch, but I’ll shave 2 days since there are already batch #2 parts. Full production of second batch is to begin next week…so I’m guessing that first #2 batch ship to be June 7th. :D

*this is a complete guess on my part based only on the ELA production thread and my own knowledge of metal part production. all dates and times are subject to change LOL
