Bumping this up. This is by far the best looking set up I've seen yet! David, I'd never suggest you taking ques from Imeo, but when you start thinking of the airflow control for the hybrid atty, a second knurled ring looks so boss!

I placed my order in the last part of january. I knew it was going to be longer than he said, so in my mind I had June in mind. I think I received mine 1st or 2nd week in june.

No, it was 6-8 weeks, but I waited patiently for 6 months until I recieved mine. And it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT! :D

Okay, this is what I was wondering about. Thank you for answering. Both of your orders were from January. Was this from the first round of preorders? It's not that I'm impatient. I've participated in group buys on Geekhack that lasted so long that I had forgotten all about it until it showed up at my doorstep. I guess that when I read the 10-12 week estimated wait time on the order page, and comparing it to how long some of you have waited, I assumed that was because it was the first round, there were some hiccups along the way, and that production was moving more smoothly now. Do you think that things are progressing more quickly now than before, or is it moving along at about the same pace as it had been during your wait?

The good news is.... they're already made!! They just need to be assembled, finished and shipped (which is a lot more detailed than that). So hang tight, you'll love it!

Yeah I ordered 4/12 and don't have mine yet, but knowing that i'll have a mod that will last me a lifetime with little to no work from me I am more than happy to wait alot longer than what I have already lol

Those photos of the Ithaka clone made me do a terrible thing...

You buy one? I looked into it but the finish doesn't look as polished as the ELA. I just got a kayfun Lite last week so I probably don't need another rebuildable quite yet. I'm gonna try to give a couple old SS drip tips a brushed finish this weekend so if that works out, I might look into it again.

Except for the odd coated post here and there (which I didn't get).

I'm happy as a duck in water to have the ELA now rather than wait another couple of weeks but it won't feel complete until it is rhodium activated.

Another minor nitpick: The threads on my extension tube catch on the corner flat of the top cap. Is it safe to try sanding the threads down a bit, or is there a better solution.

Yeah I did mate. I figured it was cheap enough for me to experiment with a bit of sanding and polishing. I have the kayfun 3.1 and was really after a lite but after seeing those pics it just looked too good on there to not get. I feel kinda dirty putting a clone on the ELA but apparently the build quality is quite good. I do love the build of the kayfuns and how easy they are to setup so i will see how this goes and if it does not work out i may palm it off. There is always the conversion kit you can buy to transform them into a kayfun.

For those not subscribed to the production status thread...

Update: Working on thru order 15201 now and they should ship by tomorrow. Switch Posts are still not in from the platers, so these will ship out with brass switch posts and we'll send out the plated ones when they come in. (which should be any day now).

I think I need to find me a P+500 or 650 to hold me over and get used to the bottom button. Didn't keep my P+16 or 350 long enough to get used to it, they were just too small in my big hands. Who wants to rent me one for a few months?;)
Honestly, I'd probably rent out my ELA before I'd rent out either of my P+'s. I was in the same boat you're in now... Grabbed both the 18650 and 18500 off the classifieds and fell in love. Even now that I have my ELA, they they get more vape time than the ELA... Then again, I'm still coddling the ELA a bit. It'll see more action once it's been dropped a few times and I quit worrying about keeping t pretty.
