I have an EDC bag or as Seinfeld called it, a "European" mens bag or something... my wife and daughter get a kick out of me just calling it "Dad's Purse".... its not a vaping kit bag or anything, just a popular Kipling carry bag with lots of zippers and a shoulder strap. moot.

But as far as how many ELA's I should have, considering that I was just starting out my transition from too many regulated devices to "too many" mech devices, I reached overkill a month before I got my first ELA... waiting for #2 now.

After almost a week with ELA, take a look at my signature list which is not in the order of preeminence, ELA made its way to the top 2, and that list doesn't show what i got rid of.
A lot of high end, hard to obtain, devices, have issues... which was a surprise to me... from small issues to rather glaring. I guess some "veteran" or "expert" vapers just assume you're going to have to tinker with their gear no matter how high end it is.. this is not the case with ELA.
With SuperT and ELA you get what is promised; it delivers; it functions as described, and there are no surprises.
All go.

Dave didn't promise a flat bottom with a tricky locking switch, or a flat bottom, side button telescopic tube design with inherently wobbly tubes...

- just the best tele design to date, with the best button and adjustable top cap design to date, best contacts to date, superb machining, finish, and a life time warranty. I'd say that warrants ordering "too many".

My vape is an essential tool. Business and/or personal, I always choose a quality tool, and then have at least one backup for that tool. If the tool may not be readily available in the future, I may purchase multiple backups. I don't need, or want, a variety of vapes. I just want a vape that looks good, feels solid, and performs consistently.

My employees rarely lost man hours, due to the lack of the right tool/equipment. Vaping .. my goal is zero lost vape hours! :)

You are ok on that, some rational thought went into the decision and it was based on a sound risk mitigation plan :)
Deja Vu!

Great description of David's work, I'm not a vape veteran like yourself, but arrived at the same conclusion just from tons of reading. As for "Dad's Purse", I will help you fill that out a bit lol.

I'd be willing to take the Pepsi Challenge on that one... What ya got? ;)

We'll have to set aside some time and have a face off :D I have a file at work that lists all of it with pics, I'll bring it home and we can compare EDC's. I'm sure you have some stuff I haven't come across, and likewise with what I have and you, it'll be fun.

Sounds like a plan... If I recall correctly, you're an EE, so this should be interesting. :D

I got two because I am sick of modding $200+ mech mods, pressing the fire button only to have nothing happen and then having to sit down and troubleshoot it, etc, etc.... Although I have never personally owned a Super T product I have vaped on a few for long enough to know that I have made the right choice with the ELA. I always told my friend that if Super T ever made a telescopic mod that I would own at least one. Well David made it and I bought two :D I have since gotten rid of all of the mods that were not gifts or made by myself. I am hopeing to retire the gifts with my ELA's :D

Definitely possible for a bag with a shoulder strap to be a briefcase. It's all about the design.

Messenger bags vs. briefcases vs. man-purse. These have mostly design differences--i.e. size, functionality, materials, etc. Compare a Filson briefcase to something from Tom Bihn. The twill and leather in the former denotes something practical, authoritative and timeless, while the latter evokes over-the-top, juvenile, and grade-school knapsack.

Obviously this is just my opinion. I just get the same sense between {the briefcase vs. man-purse dialogue} as the {ELA vs. Chi-You/Nemesis/Nzionic/etc. dialogue}. Classic [and restrained] design philosophy vs. unrestrained compartmentalizing (i.e. the more pockets the better).

Seems to me that the ELA is all about "redesigning the wheel", but it strikes me as a product of functional and predominately restrained mentality. I'm sure David could have made this product extremely complicated, but it seems to me he went the simple route here.

Once again, just my opinion.

I'm all about man bags. I picked up a cool Capellino waxed cotton rucksack during my last trip to London. That bag has pretty much sidelined all my other man bags...kinda like how ELA has sidelined all my other mods!!!

The reason behind me ordering another Precise ELA

I have spent hours, days, weeks, months, on this and other forums, and whenever somebody likes something, somebody else will always disagree. I got myself all worked up not knowing what to get, and will it be the right size, with the right finish etc

In the end, I decided I wanted to stick with Super T's UK distributor for my gear because I can get quality kit, along with every thing we need to go on top to try out every way possible to get our nic hit. I started with the P+ 18500, and was very happy. I then got my hands on my ELA, even happier.

I then ordered a P+ 10440 direct from David, because the UK distributor was out of stock. ( I think I got one of the last 4 )

So I am no longer going to be searching around the internet for stock of what somebody thinks is the next big game changer, going on lists, F5 etc, to find the holy grail, because for now, I have put my future vaping into the hands of Super T.

Precise + and Precise ELA = the last mods I will ever use, proberbly :toast:

Wanted to buy ..... The Precise Strata Rebuildable Atomizer/Integrated Tank PV, and a shockwave if one should ever come my way :lol:

FWIW, I remember David posting a couple times there were 2 batches of ELA's with 200 each batch, so only 400 of those total order #'s are ELA's. Lots of other stuff (batteries, drip tips, 10440's, Simplicities, etc.) were ordered in between.

It took me a minute to find the post but it looks like the final total is actually around 550...

No, its unaffected. We are just assembling and shipping in the order orders came in. Truth is, batches had nothing to do with shipping either, it was just a way of categorizing. For all purposes, its just one big batch with a total of about 550 units sold, with about 250 so far shipped, so about halfway.

I love how the ELA opens for batt changes with a flick of the knurled ring, and it doesn't affect the top cap batt/atomizer connector adjustment.
I know so little about the engineering of this device in all its functional aspects; the button switch, the top cap design.

I'm literally a "point and shoot" vaper (slash appliance/car/machine guy)... not tech oriented at all.

There's a lot going on that David set up that I may never "know" about or need to know, especially since the rhodium over gold over brass contacts wont need anything but maybe an occasional wipe.

ELA gives me plenty of time to just fuss over the toppers.

when did this come out?
-if he's shipped half of them, the first batchers (up through 15288 ?) should at least have them "in the air" by now.
I sense my second (15203) is very near. But with no shipping notice, I don't think its shipped yet.
