I wanted a carevela until I saw the wait list. It was almost a year. So really 18 months. I might not be vaping in a year, I can't wait that long.
I had basically did the same as all of you. Researched the heck out of mech mods. Had 2 or 3 that I was looking at but not knowing if and when they'd become available. Saw I could get a pre order in for the ELA and immediately passed on all other options. Was a no brainer.

15461, 16184, and 16440. Knew to not allow any excitement prior to now. It would have made the wait too long. But now, I think I am close enough to my first ELA. So ...... psyched!
Got to mess with a friends ELA today, and I must say I am now content with waiting as long as needed. David you have outdone yourself with the build quality, and sheer beauty of this device. I've seen and vaped a lot of different devices,but the ELA is in a whole different league.

If I were to get a 2nd PV, it would probably be a steampunk, no need to spend $$ on lesser mods that don't meet the ELA standard.

Thankfully there are not that many ahead of you as a lot of orders are batteries/tips/ect....... Otherwise you might be waiting for years......
Where did the term "unicorn" come from? I see it used all the time relating to PVs, what's the meaning?
So the ELA achieved unicorn status as soon as the preorders closed
And it will achieve albino unicorn status once all orders are filled and owners refuse to sell hehe
I don't think the ELA's a unicorn. It could be the best, it could end up being what people want, but I think it's meant for everybody to have one if they want. We've had no indication that it's done.
