For Cucco...

I figured a photo would help my description of another way to fire ELA.

Hey folks!

I got my ELA in the mail last week and have been admiring the build quality ever since.

However, I have a few concerns

I'm getting a hot button probably 3/10 times firing it. I've wiped down all of the contacts with a soft cloth and made sure there is nothing on the contacts. And my second concern is that I'm getting a decent amount of battery rattle after a few vapes. I have unlock the telescoping part, and tighten it back down but it only stays nice and rattle free for a few minutes.

Anyone else experience these issues?

I think the rattle and the short are related.

Do you have an 18350 or 18490/18500 you can try?

Is there an oring inside the tube by the switch?

Also make sure the screw is tightened into the button.

I would have to agree. I think I remember reading somewhere that the ELA is designed to "loosen" itself in the event of battery venting, shorts, etc. Which last time that happened to me, it was because of the atty.

Im not sure what screw that tightens into the button you are talking about, as of right now this is the only thing I have yet to check

If you pull the switch off the bottom of the ELA, you will see the "phillips" slotted post. You will need to be sure that "screw" is tight. If you pull your ELA apart @ the locking ring, take your battery out, and look down in the tube. See the screw?
