Please don't turn into a zenfidel style apologist. Giving customers a shipping date of 6 to 8 weeks, and then after 6 months not having sent so much as an email explaining that there were any type of delays is totally unprofessional. Follow that up with sending tracking numbers for packages that have no intention of leaving super-t for weeks at a time, and now it looks like you are being intentionally screwed around. You say complainer, I say customer with a valid and legitimate issue. The shipping estimates should have been from the start "whenever I get around to it"

An online tantrum will not get your ELA to ship any sooner..

You can always email Super T and cancel it..

At any rate.. I am out of this discussion.. I posted my peace and am not interested in drama or tantrums..

Peace out!

I need help guys! I was trying to lock firing button and the piece came out. When I tried to slide it back..there's nothing supporting it. I tried looking for that piece but could not find it anywhere? Is there suppose to be an extra piece that holds it? I have the piece with the P logo..but it just slides right through.

It seems the tantrum is yours.

I'm not sure why you would disparage people just because they were not vaping when Super-T launched their first product.

Nor do I understand why you would blast someone for offering a well thought out opinion. You did the same to me months ago when I questioned the unreasonable backlog for the ELA.

The answer to this issue is not to scream "Cancel your order!". The answer is for Super-T to explain why it will take them double the amount of time to complete an order than was quoted. We did pay upfront, in full, after all.

There is a little ball bearing looking thing that slides into the hole. Don't have my ELA with me, but I think David has a video on YouTube that demonstrates how to take the sliding piece off of the button and you should be able to see the piece. It's probably on the floor wherever the incident occurred.

I completely agree that it needs to be explained. So does super-t. That's why it has already been explained multiple times, and he has issued apologies about the backlog. At this point, the options are:

Wait patiently
Cancel your order
Complain in the thread

You have 2 options that have been made rather clear..

1) Continue the tantrum which I am sure many of us have NO interest in reading
2) Cancel order, thus ending said tantrum

Life is to short.. I understand it's easy to 'act a fool' or 'act like a child' online behind a fake identity but sometimes I read responses and wonder how that person would act face to face.. I can only hope that normal life is not the same as their online life..

Okie dokie...

Have fun ELA peeps as your thread has once again had the excitement SUCKED out of and it's downhill from here..

Me? I am off the track before the trail derails... LOL

Edit to add: I concur with vaptamist response above mine

I think David pretty much covered that issue when he posted with the pics of the ELA's lined up on the workbench waiting to go into packaging. He is the ONLY one that inspects and assembles the ELA's to make sure there is nothing wrong with a unit when it goes out for delivery. If there is something wrong with a unit and has to be fixed, the assembly of the other devices stop to fix and correct that unit.

This is not something that is completed over night, the complainers(and i do understand you want your ELA,so does everyone else)seem not to understand that there is ONLY ONE person doing the assembly and QC on these units. And you can not give a time frame because you can not forsee if a unit will have a problem before hand.Just go back thru this thread you will find all of the posts david put up about how,and who assembles these units.

I believe David updated the production status thread today explaining there was an issue with tolerances on the Haas machine. They had the tech out there working on it. I believe he stated the out of tolerance pieces would need to be re machined.

I totally feel bad for folks that do not have theirs yet. I would like to believe that a more realistic timeline would have prevented some of the angst. However, it's just really hard to wait. I get that. The good news in my opinion is that the careful attention to detail has caught some sub-par parts and the fix is in motion. Helping to ensure a perfect unit arrives to your door.

Just now that people have to vent every now and again.

I think it's pretty clear at this point that we won't see a pre-order on the ELA ever again. I'd guess whenever David does make more he'll just post it for a first come basis.

No i believe he posted a while back that they would be regularly stocked devices just like the P+'s.Of course with all of the headaches(i know he has had with these)he might change his mind???

If I remember correctly, he was also very sick for a while too. As for myself personally. I'll never cancel an order from super t. Product is just superb. IMHO.

^^ Agree ^^

As with everything in life there are 2 ways to look at things..

A) Be miserable and let it effect your happiness thus spreading hate
B) Be thankful for what you have and spread the love

In the case of the ELA:

A) You can be miserable and complain about the wait
B) You can be happy that you made the pre-order list and have your name in the queue.. Knowing that there are a LOT of people who would love to take your spot in said queue..

If A) is the case then perhaps a cancellation is in order to save your sanity and not ruin the mood of people around you..
If B) is the case then relax, converse with the Super T peeps and have fun while waiting..

Life is all about choices.. You can choose to be miserable with what you have OR you can choose to be happy with what you have..

I say choose B but what do I know...

Now this is my opinion, just mine. Im sorry that the wait is getting on your nerves, understandably so. It does say 3-5 weeks, and that should have been changed, just a simple re-write on the site and it would help so many to know before they got in to buying it.

I know that if he was on the forum, he would be up to date, but not everyone has the time or desire. THere also should have been updates on the site on its progress , even if it was to say: "for updates see this site" (link to here) people feel lost, people dont know, they paid a lot of money and think " they mislead me, it said 3- whatever"

I wait , because I can, some wait because they come here and get the updates. If I was not on here and just seeing the website, I might get upset because ELA should be going out, and I see, Hmmmm, all the other new PVs and now an atomizer? Where is their priority? The average person would be feeling some resentment.

There are many valid reasons for the delay , but for those who dont come on here, they dont know and dont understand, they come here for support not to be told , wait or cancel, cause it would sell. Its like saying we dont care cause someone else will get it.

Im sorry if IM sounding like a mother hen, but have a little compassion. Explain politely about the delays and that its worth it, but dont add fire to the problem, because this forum is the "friendly" one, attitude , heck you get that from GG and PRovari forums.

The way you put it, echoing tnt56's sentiments reminded me of a commencement speech I heard from David Foster Wallace sometime back.

Looks like your locking detent is missing. If you can't find yours I'd be surprised if super-t doesn't have spares. I'll see if I can take a pic of mine so you know what to look for.

This detent is highly attracted to magnets, if it helps.

I cant wait for some spare parts, everytime I take mine out to clean, (and it gets really dirty, at least mine does) Im so afraid I will drop it down the drain, I also fear I will drop the top center pin with the Rhodium contact and lose it.

Plus because of my Odysseus and not knowing any better when I first got ELA, Ive scratched my Rhodium center pin and its sort of rusting where I gouged it. I need a new one:(
