Looks like your locking detent is missing. If you can't find yours I'd be surprised if super-t doesn't have spares. I'll see if I can take a pic of mine so you know what to look for.

This detent is highly attracted to magnets, if it helps.

Thanks man. Probably impossible to find. I will look again in daytime.

I watched that vid and immediately thought of the old cliché - are you [a] "the glass is half empty" or "the glass is half full" type of person?

Me, I don't mind drama or temper tantrums, so I guess I'm [c] "the glass is twice as big as it needs to be" type of person :)

OR we can go with option [d]:

You must have never dated a hot twenty-something Liberal Arts major from the Peoples Republic of Berkeley before. Joking aside, the older I get the colder this world seems but every once in a while I'll run into an empathetic tnt56, raq's mindset, or Magic's approach and feel as if it's NO BIG DEAL and either selfishly enjoy that feeling the rest of the day or pass it on to someone that's stressing as much as I was.

Tnt56, I hope you tell that story again, the one with that lady who came into your vape shop being a jerk. Since it looks like ya'll have some time to kill in this thread.

Glad you dig the vid folks

If you think this thread is long, you should see the Russian's co-op those folks are waiting forever :p

The Eagle Has Landed!!!!

My ÉLA touched down at my home in Illinois! Only one problem: I am in California today! In 24 hours I will be home though and the long wait will be over! I'm very jazzed. I can wait to strap my SQuape on am vape some clouds after puffing on an ego all week. I have officially joined the ELAluminati! (ELAluminati is a copyright of HauntedMyst Inc.)

It certainly is looking to be a long wait. Things has gotten a little quieter in there to be honest. I think everyone is just in hunker-down-and-wait mode :p

The d'oh! heard across the country! Luckily you're on your way home, make sure you take pictures or as they say, it didn't happen!

Off topic kinda sorta. For Halloween I went as "Vapor Man". Total of 13! Yes 13 APV's on me. When I went to lunch, sat down, checked forum, Reached down to adjust one of the P+ I was carrying and got BURNED. Sitting in Brahms holding my language. Jerked the P+ out of the holster and found I neglected to lock the fire button. Picture in your head, a stranger grabbing napkins and frantically tearing this thing apart.
I think the best part was when the hot spring fell on the floor. Yes folks, I was on my hands and knees under the table looking for my hot spring.
Good news is; I found it and after a nice cool down. Put it back together and was happy again. Only lose on my part was a little embarrassment.
All in all. There is nothing to worry about in life. S$&t happens. :)

hey guys, the top contact of my ELA the part that makes contact with the atomizer is starting to show black marks... how can I clean them??? Tried rubbing them off with a micro fiber cloth, but they aint coming off,...thanks

I thought the contacts were rodium plated making cleaning a non issue??

I use a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol on my other contacts and that usually works.

LOL, Vapor man is hot!

I had a similar thing happen a month or so ago. Only I had put it in one of my PV holders that is not level on bottom, fired for at least 45 mins, it was hot but after a cool down, no harm to ELA or Odysseus. Tuff stuff.

Could they be arcing marks? Maybe somehow there was a hard short and those marks are the result, I think someone else had some black marks on the button from arcing. I hope someone rings in a can offer a logical possibility.

I know that I would love a replacement top contact. I have an Odysseus and the center pin/contacts dug into my ELA top contact from attaching it using a method that was not good for ELA. I have a large gouge on my pin. I dont know for sure if it is affecting my conductivity, but the rusty gouge just bugs the heck out of me, visually.

I thought so too, but they do get black marks and wont come off, I dont wanna rub any polish on them

Definitely sounds like electrical arcing. I don't think those will come off without damaging the plating further. Must be some serious arcing since rhodium is more resistant to it than a lot of other materials. Is there a particular atomizer you use with your ELA regularly?

I think your arcing theory is a possibility. It wasn't on my ELA but I also had black marks form from arcing on another mod with a gold and silver plated brass switch. This happened as a result of a short in my dripping atomiser....

OMG!! I found my missing piece today. It was like finding a needle in the hay stack. Had been raining here but today was a little dry. So I figured it was on my lap when I got out the car and fell out somewhere (it happened during the night when it was raining). So today I NEEDED my ELA...felt like I had super powers as if my eyes can zoom in, thats how badly I wanted to use it. Yall shoulda seen my face when I picked it up.

The missing piece

Somewhere where it was at

And now....
