I see that the extension tube and the 510 connector are one piece?
They are NOT one piece, sir.

Quick question for David, how is the Strata going to fit the ELA since I see that the extension tube and the 510 connector are one piece?
Will it only be used in 18350 mode?Does not make a difference to me just wondering.

Thanks Nach, call me Nick please how do you disassemble the 510 connector is it from the inside of the extension tube?Just unscrew the center pin? Thanks Nick.
The 510 top cap is actually two pieces: the beauty ring (standard and adjustable airflow caps) and the actual 510 top cap. The beauty ring threads onto the 510 top cap, and the 510 top cap threads onto the extension tube. Once you have the 510 portion removed, you can then adjust/remove the center pin. The Strata will essentially replace the entire top cap section.
EDIT: Here is a link to David's video that shows how to disassemble the top cap section.

Now that my ELA is in my hand, it feels like I've always had it.
I get that!![]()
I don't think I could be much happier. Both of my ELA's are home and I do have to say if your thinking about sub ohm dual coil vaping the HD springs stop the button from heating up, and make your ELA into a cloud monster. Running my patriot with dual 6 wrapped 26awg micro coils on a 20 amp battery with amazing results.![]()
sorry what's an HD spring???
2nd from the bottom

It's a stiffer spring than the one that ships with the unit.

That's very interesting.Sorry for the late reply guys and gals lol Yep HD is just heavy duty. I was having a serious problem with arcing, and hot button, but only with dual coil atties. My train of thought was that since the HD was more than likely just made with larger gauge wire to form the spring that it would allow more energy to pass through quicker than the smaller gauge wire that the original spring is made out of. I could be wrong, but again my button doesn't heat up anymore, and my ELA seems to hit alot better than it did.
