If mine is like yours I might wipe a tad of Noalox on the inner surface of the cap before I resort to the sandpaper...TIP: For those that have ordered/received the new flat ELA button caps, polish the inner surface of the cap and also the outer sidewall of the button. I found that the travel of my button was a bit crunchy, probably because the button has more surface area contacting the bottom cap compared to the stock cap. I sanded down the satin surface of the button using 600 grit, and then followed that with a Cape Cod cloth. I also polished the inner surface of the new cap. The action of the button is so smooth now...as if it's sliding on glass!
