Arf, my solid top cap arrived today and I have a problem too. I can't screw the pin further than the first thread, even with the oring off

Back it off, use a little moly grease on it and then try it again with a wrench. If that doesn't work, then you can either send it back or you can put it in a vise in the garage and get a large monkey wrench and try it again. If that doesn't work, put the wrench on and slowly move your car until it's touching the wrench, then hit the gas and really try to force it down. Make sure the wrench is on their tight or it could spring back, fly through the windshield and kill you. If that happens, have a surviving loved one send it in for repair, then have them send me your ELA.

I'm sure David, now aware of the issue, will fit-check the top caps before going out.

Well I'm sure they're fit checked as it is, but perhaps not fit checked against an unforseen something which may have happened in the past.
David should I order the 2 caps or wait until this gets sorted out? I DONT WANT TO MISS OUT:ohmy:

We've narrowed the problem down to the center posts, evidently, some of these older center posts are tighter for some reason in these new caps. All the center posts we have in stock now screw in no problem, it's people with older ELA's that are having the problem so it appears. If you send us the caps and center posts, we'll make them fit for you, even if we have to replace your screw in center post holder. I know it's a pain, but there is no other solution. I can tell you the caps are machined to the exact same specs (I double checked), so its not the caps themselves.

If you are having this problem, send your cap and screw in center post to:

Super T
Box 331
Sauk Rapids, MN 56379 We'll put a rush on them and get them right back out to you.

Did anyone catch that proposed "trade" of fb the other day?

No fb for me :). What was the trade offer? Did you catch on the Strata thread some guy is offering 425.00 for an ELA on an earlier post?

Edit...I guess he is here now looking. Bad venue imo. Sport vaping. Not a fan.

Honestly what are the chances i'll find one for $425?

Good question, you already have 1 so you know first hand how attached owners can get to their ELA. Your opening bid was $425 but how high would you actually go? :D Don't know if you are a sport vaper or not, but irrelevant. As an ELA owner you are certainly welcome here and we have a great group of diverse peeps, some very knowledgeable about the inner workings of the ELA. Enjoy the 1 you have, maybe you'll get lucky on #2 :)

I have an older ELA:
What about if I order 2 ELA solid top caps with new center post install? I will pay whatever you need to get them pre set up............Let me know David as it would be a lot easier them sending it back and forth....plus the fact I will need the original center post for my original 2 piece ELA cap....

PS. I sent a copy of this post to SuperT @Supertmanufacturing@yahoo.com
