OK someone give me your opinion. Should I go ahead and pick up the slant cap? I don't yet have an ELA. Hoping to get one on the next run. Just not sure if I will end up with polished or satin. Ahhh decisions decisions.
Why is it that these top caps don't come with the pos pin? Most mods I've owned that I've purchased seperAte /extra top caps come with full hardware. I think they should be part of order imho

I know it's a ludicrous thing to come out of my particular mouth, but how many can you use at the same time?
It's to keep the costs in line. That Rhodium over Gold plated center pin and adjustable holder in sits in costs just about as much as the cap does. Since our design makes that center post assembly readily and easily removable, one can just swap in their existing one and save some money.
Ok easy question for ELA owners. I've been using mine for a while now. (really don't know how long, but not near as long as some).
Had my original KFL first version, on top. Been vaping for a couple of days. Took the battery out, and much to my surprise
I had an ELA full of e-juice. First thought was the KFL was leaking. Nope not even a small seep. Smelled the juice. Not even what was in the KFL. WTH!!!!!!!!!!!
Checked top cap and everything. Dry as a bone. Just inside the battery tube. The entire thing had juice in it. The Kick 2, tube, bottom button. Yea it cleaned up all right. But where in the heck did this juice come from.
I usually carry the ELA along with another mod, in the same pouch of my tac pants. (fits 2 perfectly). The other mod showed no signs of leakage.
Maybe it was a note to tell me to clean the ELA. Guess I'll never know.

Oh my goodness, that is very odd. So you said the KFL was NOT leaking? were you dripping before? Do you think someone played a bad joke on you? Ive had a couple incidents where my Ody has leaked because I had the juice flow open wide and then the temp went up a lot. I found juice all on the connection and even dripping down the outside, but never inside of the tube.
Its a weird thing to happen, I hope someone can come in with a good theory.

Yea it puzzles me also. NO ONE handles my ELA unless I'm right there with her. I never dripped in her either. Only Carto/tanks or a KFL. I run a kick so I don't have to worry about anything. Set at 7-8 watts. Guess this is one for the books. The juice that was in her smelled like the juice I had in my Reo. (which is carried on the opposite side of the pants.). Always stored in it's separate holder and bed, when not in use. This is just kinda jiggy to me.

I bet you had a pressure change and juice got forced out the side, dripped down over the top cap, and in between the accent ring.... then behind the accent ring, juice seeped into the vent slots that the accent ring conceals.

Is it ok if I use that story. And I'm sticking to it. (Might work if it had been the same juice).
And even the air hole area was bone dry.

For some reason the locking ring on my ELA is not holding the tube firmly in place. The tube kind of wobbly and I can spin it, whereas before the locking ring would tighten it. Does this have something to do with the compression ring?
With mine I tighten down the locking ring. Not to tight then spin the top cap till the extention tube finally grabs tight and I no longer can spin. That's how I been getting it down tight
Probably. The compression ring is soft and can wear out. Probably replacing it will fix the issue.
