i'm really close on making this my very first mech mod. just 2 questions. first, what are the 'features' that will/could become extras later on, which in turn, raise the price of the ELA? and secondly, i know this has been answered before and i really tried to look for the post (couldn't find it), but which finish can be turned into the other if we choose to down the road? was it polished to satin, or satin to polished?

the second questions is what's really holding me back coz i can't decide on the finish... i feel like i want to go with polished but i really want to see what a satin ELA looks like. thanks!

Welcome redmadder, nothing has been determined as far as what route we plan to take after the preorder is over. Maybe make some of the features it currently has as optional, or maybe keep it all the same and there would be a price increase. We are just weighing options at this point to keep costs down.

just ordered a wooden jstand for 6 devices anyway... it will still depress the bottom button on the P+ part way... is that the same with the ELA?
I'll figure it out, just not used to a button that slides when you put it down vertically ... first P+. and that "incident" (which must have been an uneven surface issue).
"slanted"? going for another look
Weight is good. As for the bottom/switch unit, I wish it wasn't slanted, it would make it stand much better. We can't have it all I guess.

A flat one would fire just as easily... :) I have to align my little finger with the cutout anyway, so it wouldn't make any difference if it was flat.

Personally I think it would look super funky though. The beveled design has been a signature of Super-T since the get go and is one of the most visually pleasing things about them for me. I'm lucky I don't care about standing my stuff up, I'd knock them over no matter what.

Personally how would it look funky? A flat bottom would look sleek and natural. Well IMO. We all have our preferences....:)

Yeah, we do. I'm just imaginng a flat round thing with a semicircular cutout bored through it. Excess material. Probably much quicker to machine though.
