I read somewhere that if you cape cods get dry you can add something to them and revive them, even after a few years of storage, but for the life of me, can remember if it was alcohol or something else.

Did a search and realized the tip was on the package itself:)
Return cloth to foil packet after use - should cloth become dry a few drops of mineral spirit or vegetable oil will revitalize.

hmmmm. Good question, I tend to not even think when using the Cape Cods, but if I had to think, I would tend to always go with the grain or at least go in one direction depending on the finish?

If your item is mirror finish, do you go circular? And when using something like Autosol which is slightly abrasive, do you go in one direction or circular......

Any polishing experts out there? I might have to hit up Dspin from the GG forum for advise, as he has the most amazing collection of PVs that are in day one condition and one needs sunglasses to gaze upon.

One direction for sure. To reach jewelry like shine go from 300 to 2000 grit in stages then use blue magic or Cape Cod. Always go with the grain for the best results. If you want to see a good example of how shiny it will be look through my posts for a pic of my Legacy. It looks like a freshly plated chrome bumper lol I can see myself : )

So Covert, with a high polished item like the mirror shine finishes on some PVs and atties, would you still go in one direction? Swirl marks are not always attractive either.

there are several methods, but the best is to figure out your starting point. how deep is the imperfection? i'd never start with 200 grit only due to the amount of work to follow. 320 is a good starting point.

320 grit - one direction to take out scratches
400 grit - the opposite way to remove the scratches left by the 320
600 grit - the same direction as the 320
800 grit - the same direction as the 400
1000,2000... follow the above.

my advice is to finish each grit with light passes to blend into the next.

Nice to hear, I keep trying to stay away from new atomizers, either because most are described as hitting really hard, which to me means too warm, too much TH. Or they seem to much work to dial in , as far as juice flow/ air etc.

As you all are aware, Im in love with my Odys, yes, they do have what seems like a lot of pieces, but really only once in a while do those parts have to be broken down. I skipped on Ithaka for the main reason that it had so many more things to have to adjust than Ody. Air control, but really Im happy with the air flow I get on Ody. Only reason I would need more would be if I set up lower resistance, hotter set ups, since I like it cool , no need. Bigger ceramic, again I am fine with single coils. Even more pin adjustability, again I knew I was getting ELA, so didnt need it.

I keep seeing the comments on the GG forum and it seems 50/50 , those that used Odys, either love the Ithaka or are finding it leaky, gurgly , and a few other little bugs such as the basic feed etc. Ithaka seems to be geared to lower resistance vaping and those that like to use dual, triple and quad coils.

The Kayfun lite seems more up my stubborn alley.

I recently received my ithaka and unfortunately after 1/5th tank it may hit the classifieds. After leaving the GG stuff alone for a long time, returning to it I find it to be a real pain compared to the kayfun, and the looks are similar. The ithaka is nice, but not as good looking as the ODY, and no difference in performance.

Exactly :D I pretty much do exactly what VCoupe said in his post under yours. I start with 300 instead of 320 because it came in the variety pack I bought lol :D I hit mine with cape cod , wipe it down, then windex and wipe with a microfiber cloth. Sounds simple but it's alot of work.

Hey ladies and gents just wanted to pop in and say order 15179 has landed! Its funny cause I never received a shipping notice. I'm sure it prolly got lost in cyber space but oh well its here and I am totally impressed. I can't even put into words how beautiful the ela is in person. This is my first super t product and won't be my last. The button is crazy smooth and its has the best threads I've ever seen. Well I'm rambling so that's about it for now. Ill get a pic up soon when the kayfun comes in. It was definitely worth the wait.

Thanks anavid! I don't see how any one could be disappointed with this little bad boy. The quality is just stunning. I have to say I was a little scared about not liking the switch but its actually one of the best features. I really like it. It definitely was an awesome surprise.

Hold in there lou. Youre gonna love it! It'll be totally worth it.

I just received a brand new Ithaka last week and haven't felt a compelling need to set it up yet. It's really shiny and looks nice but with as easy as the Kayfuns are to set up i'll either wait until my polished ELA arrives or it will go back up on the classies. We'll see....
