No need for a kicklet on an ELA, with the ext tube you can add the kick in and never have to move it again.

True, but with the Kiklet, no fuss when changing batteries either, set it in the housing once and forget it, at the user's whim - screw on/off regulation.

Thanks jasl90, I'm kind of all over the map with my stuff, yours looks a little more purposeful with a mission in mind, and with quality stuff. The big light I have is 4" wide at the lens and uses a high power LED - takes 4 18650's and puts out some serious light ...

Damn... Blind 'em and beat 'em to death... That flashlight's more dangerous than the .22... Lol

Gah! It still has brass contacts! Why don't they use nickel plating or something that doesn't have to be polished every few days? It's not like the voltage drop would be that significant over the centimeter or so power has to travel.

Plating them would make no sense whatsoever, as they are replacing them with proper rhodium plated ones as soon as they come in.

I have some great tactical flashlights. And floodlights. Love those lumens! When the power is out, with my generators and lights, I can glow!

This whole 'man purse' conversation makes me smile. My husband was the ultimate 'he man'. Mountain man type. I remember us attending business meetings in big fancy offices. Everyone would be in business suits, and carrying briefcases. There my husband would be, with blue jeans, work boots, and a military olive drab tool bag. In it, would be an extra gun, phone, and folded papers, etc.. I used to pick on him about it being his purse. Sometimes, when he would step away, people would ask "It is true there are guns in there?". He was a character. I miss him. :)

Of course today it would have also included an ElA or shockwave :)

Last night I finally purchased the kicklet, got no idea why but I did. I will have to try one of these little jokers out. Darwin has a 6 amp limit, I have got her up to about 4 amps, but never 6. That was a wonky atty that actually got her up that high, nothing intentional that I did.

David do you plan to carry these v2 kicks?

It's kind of funny. I seem to recall that while the Kick was still in beta, Brandon got overwhelmed with criticism about the 10-watt limit. But he was obstinate about it, believing that no one would ever need or use higher. Now that China has cloned the Kick, I guess Brandon decided he better finally grant the requests.

I like the spring-loaded nubbies better than that delicate little copper spring on the v1. It seems sturdier, more like the ground on the Crown. The ground on my Crown doesn't play well with threads, though, so I prefer the Kick over the Crown in my P+ when I'm in the mood for a boost. I hope since the Kick 2's grounds are off center, they might play better with threaded tubes. I guess we'll see what happens.

Maybe he's saving the nickel plating for v3 after the v2 is cloned?

Ok looks like it might be time to invest in at least one kick extension tube for my ELA's lol. The low amp and watt limit kept me from buying one. Hopefully Brandon lowers the low battery warning to at least 3.2-3.3V too.
I don't see this on Evolv's website... Where did you find the info on this?
