I might have to try that sometime.. Call me weird but I am not a big fan of cotton.. I am one of the few who like silica better :D

+1

I've gotten some good-vaping setups with various cotton wicks, but so far haven't had one that outperformed silica to my taste. I'm still experimenting a little here and there, but so far cotton just doesn't "do it" for me

The only set up that has worked well with cotton (gauze) for me has been the KFL. Ive tried it on others and not so well. I tried ekowool with the KFL and got mostly bad results which I thought was odd because all the "how to's" on the KFL are with Ekowool. My results were gurgle or dry hits, once only did I get a perfect result.

I have heard lots of good things about the Sugar and Cream cotton yarn, havent tried it , such a giant roll, guess I could give it away if it didnt work out. I have a good buddy that uses it in his Odysseus and Ithaka, but I just cant figure out how to set up a micro coil with Ody and the whole NR-R joins. I just stick with the ekowool on Ody and Penny.

I was not a fan either. Being quite satisfied with my Silica from the land of Oktoberfest and a huge fan of ecowool from the Motherland, I was leery of cotton as I too had a less than pleasant exp. But, not a quitter either. I am now setting up cotton in my Spheroids, KF's and GT.

@Idaho- Xtreme 101 was very gracious in sending me some SnC cotton to try....
what is the prep process? I've always used ekowool.....do u mind giving a quick prep run-down?
THX- YEV
I treat it like silica and ecowool - 20 minute boil. Not 10 -15, 20 is the number to prep it. I do the same with silicas.

Cotton tastes like socks.

Only if you are using the yarn from the slippers that Grandma knitted for us. SNORK POST!

The taste is clean and this set up in the GT is fantastic flavor.
Here is my KFL+
1 1/2 inches of yarn. Nothing like just pulling out the wick in 7-10 days and threading a new one through coil.

I have been using it in the middle of my mesh set ups and leaving the tail on the bottom of the tank of the Doodle Bug.

....socks lol

Edit - I also am not a fan of the idea of micro shards of glass in my lungs from silica based products:)

A string walks into a bar. Bartender says "we don't serve your kind here. Get out."

String walks outside. He ties himself into a knot, then unravels his ends and scuffs himself against the pavement.

String walks back into the bar. The bartender says, "Aren't you that string I just sent away?"

String says, "No, I'm a frayed knot."

Boiled cotton, microcoils and Kayfuns for me right now. Best setup I've come across so far. I'm fine using ekowool as well, I just torch it before using. But occasionally I get wicking issues with it. Not so since I've started using cotton. Cheaper and works better for me.

My poor genesis attys have been getting no use since I started using Kayfuns.

The KFL should be called the "Genesis Killers". So many of the people I know that kept trying to convince me of the Genesis systems. After trying out the KF/KFL, now their gennies collecting dust or selling them off.

I use both Kf 2.1 & 3.1 and TF GT all with micro's and cotton but still prefer Gennies especially the smaller ones like the Nahual.

The Taifun just looks great on the ELA though. So industrial.

They are just different.

I am also using the Satburn switch aka as the atrocity. :)

I have ordered the flat switch from Super T too.
