This thread was/is quite lengthy. Buried somewhere in here is the suggestion that if you're unsure you should get the polished because the warranty generously includes lifetime refinishing warranty and you can't send it back to get it un-satin finished but you could get a polished one made satin. I had to pre-order yesterday finally. I kept on putting it off but the thoughtfulness of the design made me think it had the flexibility and durability to give more use than these little $30 tube mods I keep dropping once and breaking.

When I read way back in the thread about whispers of a likely rba/feed device and maybe even a new dna chip device/add-on in the future for the ELA, which would seem consistent with repurposing ideas he's apparently had for a while, I had to pull the trigger.

That's the answer I needed. Emailed David to request an order change... hopefully it's not too much of a hassle.

I, like everyone else, am anxiously awaiting my ELA. I read earlier in this thread that with the added accent rings you can use a 18500 battery without exposing the inner tube. Does anyone know if you also use the extender tube if you can use a kick with a 18500 battery without exposing the center tube?

I believe it was mentioned that you could use a second accent ring to cover the inner sleeve when using an 18650 or 18500+Kick. Someone else may be able to clarify if I am wrong.

Finally pulled the trigger today. 1x ELA polished, 1x Brass accent rings, 1x brass velocity tip.

So, any word on the brass body giveaway details?

I'm so excited!!! Been on the sidelines for too long. Now I need to sell of one last item so I can afford a kick. Never used one but it seems just perfect for this setup.

Okay, are we there yet?? Lol.

Woohoo!!!!!!!

i thnk you can run a 18500 by itself with the rings and not expose the center tube OR you can do what i plan on, running a 18350 + kick with the rings and not expose the tube at all. so the length of a 18500 is = to a 18350 + kick

I just wanted to make a quick note that i am following the threads here and see a lot of questions. I apologize that i haven't got to them in a timely manner (that goes for emails too). We've been working hard on the ELA machining and assembling of Shockwaves and i'll put aside some time tomorrow and thursday to answer many of these questions.
