Seems we have similar skills in the "wishful thinking" bored, and know how to use photoshop. I did this mock up a while ago.

The DNA20 has a completely different form factor than the Kick. It's designed to be built into a device permanently... Here is a link to the DNA20 data sheet, which should give you a better idea as to what it is...
http://evolvapor.com/wp-content/uploads/dna20.pdf

It's going to be interesting to see what design Dave comes up with for the DNA20 module. Hopefully it will replace the top cap rather than have a 510 connector.

and i thought Blix was kidding ... about the DNA/ELA

but SuperT does have an Evolv connection (Kicklet) so it makes sense... although a module is going to add length to a tube...

It'll definitely add some size, but if its done right, it doesn't have to be that bad... By replacing both the top cap and bottom switch, a lot of space would get freed up. That woul allow the bulk of the DNA board to fit inside the ELA itself.
In theory, only added length that needs to be added would the size of the screen.
Hate to say it... Every time I see a Kicklet, I wander, how in the hell is this a better idea than a simple 15mm extension tube???

An extension tube would not have worked on Super-T Precise models, in which the kicklet was designed primarily for.

Impossible to do a bottom design extension due to the button setup of the Precise line.

A top extension tube would have minimized the internal diameter of the PV due to tight tolerances and its internal threading. So, no, Jas. An extension tube would not have worked.

How do figure that? The extension tube could have the exact dimensions and wall thickness as the ends of the P+ body tube.

I myself always wondered why the Kicklet had to be so long, when the kick itself is so short. Not having a kicklet in hand I dont know what is inside to make have to need so much space. I think the idea of the kicklet is genius, but I just cant have my device be so long. If Im going to carry a "wand" around it better be able to do some really good magic:)

I agree 100%... But apparently that's not the point... :|

Imagine the thickness of a P+ tube with male threading on the outside...nothing left.

Ooo, had to edit...I just imagined it!

Sure, it could work beings the ends of a P+ are thicker, but it would look too funky for me!

The whole point of the kicklet was to keep an effective ground connection, be it to the Precise, or for that matter, other mods that would not be able to take an extension tube. Both ends of the kicklet are rhodium plated. By encasing the kicklet, the user would not have to remove it due to battery size variations.

There's a whole sub explaining why Dave chose the design he did. Apparently,it is buried somewhere, and I'm too tired and still at work to look for it. I apologize.
