Another week, no problem, I will just while away the time by making more wires for my Odys, Ive been fiddling around fine tuning my builds. I use a Kicked PV (Saber) set at about 7.5 and was making my resistance at about 2.7-2.8 but was noticing that my vapour production was declining quickly. I popped my good ole carto in a tank and saw that I was getting double the clouds from it.

So I rebuilt my Ody at the same resistance as the carto and man tons of clouds again and staying that way instead of declining. It sort of confuses me because from what I remember the Kick allows for use of different resistances and adjusts for the same output in performance. Has anyone found this?

All I know is that now that Im using a lower OHm that my performance is better. I know that kicked devices dont like ultra low ohms such as 1.0 and lower, but I guess they also dont seem to perform as well at at 2.7 or higher or would I have to set the wattage higher ?

Oh well, just obsessing because Im so excited waiting for ELA.

Maybe it's possible that your Kick has kicked the bucket. I have fried a couple of them and when you do they just pass the battery voltage right through. If you have an inline volt meter you could test it.

I think that the operating range of the kick is between 1.3 - 3 ohms. Anything outside that it acts funny

I just happened to have an inline and chekced it and it says 4.4 , my resistance is at 2.2 and my kick is set at 7.5 , do those numbers sound okay?

Maybe. Ohm's law says that should be close to 9 watts so considering the inaccuracy of the Kick's dial it could be okay. Fresh battery? Vape your battery down and see if the volts changes. If it stays around 4.4 you're okay.

One battery in particular is getting old, think its not lasting as long. I have 6 18650s that I was rotating, but decided to stick to just 2 in rotation so that they all don't start losing their potency at the same time. I don't have a multimeter so I cant see if they are fully charging. I will try to keep track of how many hours they are lasting and how the voltage drops.

Another week!! Ow no! Me thinks a bit of time was spent on the shockwaves getting out...

Yeah something definitely happened since people were told to expect some shipping notices last Friday, then Monday, and now the end of the week (not to mention the previous delays). Its not a huge deal to me since I'm in the second batch but I feel for those in the first. Of course, no one is really complaining since we've waited this long already.

I'm just hoping David posts pics of the final product soon. There's almost surely a complete and tested ELA laying around somewhere for them to share.
