6-8 weeks is the original production estimate before this project took off. The first batch orders are going on 6 months, considering that the tweaks were already made in the first batch, the second batch should move along sooner. But they just started working on parts for the second batch. So give it at least 6-8 weeks my good man.

I hope you are wrong man, David sent me an email on april 22 saying that my order was gonna ship in 6-8 weeks, that means it SHOULD ship in less than 1 month

Waiting sucks, but that's a part of the game when you pre-order. But rest assured, when its in your hands, you will be blown away by the attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

i'd actually be surprised if the second batch took another 6 weeks. my guestimate still sits at mid-late June :D

Considering what I have read and seen of the ELA, I am prepared to wait for as long as it takes to receive a pristine ELA.

Just to quell any speculation, second batch ela production has been going on for several weeks. i hope to start shipping 2nd batch shortly after 1st batch is out the door.

Hey Dave, Is there any way i can get the ELA sliding lock made to be brass? haha i know its not going to happen but its worth a shot. looks pretty cool though.

Excellent! When time is available, I would definitely pony up for a brass locking piece.

called it.

:D

edit: called it in JAN:
Watching the time line of production, I’d be shocked if it took as long as July to get all the orders built and shipped...

…so I’m guessing that first #2 batch ship to be June 7th. :D

*this is a complete guess on my part based only on the ELA production thread and my own knowledge of metal part production. all dates and times are subject to change LOL

Nice photoshop:) We may offer some brass ones as an optional accessory. They won't ever come brass standard though, it's just too soft of a metal and will wear out on the underside eventually where the locking detent goes.

Oh man, do they assess the value, and charge you higher taxes or something? That hasn't happened to me (yet). That would be upsetting for sure.

Yes, yes they do. If I am to judge by previous experience, this one's gonna be big. In my assessment, it's gonna be 60$. If I'm lucky, that is
