thanks guys sounds like the semi polished (brushed) would be a better match considering the p+ polished isnt really shiney. Or maybe its the polished i want. sounds like we all a little confused LOL why they have 4 different finishes is beyond me, all its doing is confusing me lol
im guessing the shiny finish is epsilon and brushed is gamma and alpha and beta are the 2 diff sand blated ones. It doesnt help that vaprev isnt even using these names

I'm really glad you said that. I also got the brushed, guessing it's the same finish as the gamma. Vcoupe has me wondering if it's covered in papier mâché or a velvet Elvis painting or something. Well, I added the full clear tank as well, so if the finish match is way off, at least there won't be much of it showing.
Actually i think cloud9 is the one that has the "semi-polished" finish. Brush is a different finish..
Yep. I'm guessing the "ES" stands for edelstahl, which is German for stainless steel.

So as I understand it, there are a total of 5 finishes for the kayfun: alpha (to be discontinued?) and beta, the two matte finishes; gamma, which is semi-polished; delta with its high polish; and, um, Earl the brushed finish. Now, vendors can only sell 3 of these finishes, but not the same three as any other vendor, and not the one you need.
It's like trying to keep up with my daughter's favorite cartoon characters.
But the vape is so outstanding that the kayfun would be desirable even covered in My Little Pony stickers; so even the ugliest, least-matchy finish sells out instantly. That about right?

So vcoupe says the gamma is too dark for the polished ELA. But if the brushed that we got from vaperev was the epsilon it'll probably be a closer match. Cool. So what was vaperev selling, the epsilon or gamma?

Thank you for that, may I ask are either of the alpha or beta actually like a real matte finish, did either of them match the satin finish of the precise plus?
I would say Gamma.
Dunno if that helps but my ELA is satin and my Kayfun is alpha. It's just a tad darker than my super-t units, so I would assume the beta is an even better match with the super-t satin finish
Vcoupe, looks like our kayfun will be here before our ELAs, on the good note, our ELAs should be perfectly flawless when we get them.
I finally got to refresh my tracking this morning, still not shipped! I know David said that the simplicity wasn't to hold up the ELA but counting the number of boxes on that table, adding up the amount of days I have had tracking, this is getting a tad ridiculous. I don't see how the simplicity isn't holding it up. Why send someone a tracking so they can get their hopes up to not ship it for a week or longer? Blah, when others got their tracking numbers, they shipped, they weren't teased like this.
I need to go guzzle some more coffee, I am a tad frustrated!

The Gamma is much darker than a normal steel look. To me it looks best on all brass mods. It wont match the ELA unless it was an all brass ELA

Good thinking! Since I have the darkest Kayfun, it is only logical that I should get the all-brass ELA
Now, that's what I'm talking about! I got brass rings and button while they were available, and I'll be stalking the site in the hopes David puts out brass top cap covers and body parts as well. I know certain parts won't ever be brass though, mainly the adjustable center pin housing and probly the lock ring mechanism as brass is just too soft a metal for those parts, but I want to get as close to a full brass mod as I can!
I am so glad one of David's big fans is finally feeling the way I am! That is exactly what I am talking about. How is it that a bunch of people had there mods shipped right away and we are waiting for a week after receiving a tracking number? He can post pictures of boxes all day long but when it comes right down to it what is really going on is that he has a ton of orders for the simplicity which are going out before ours. Even though we paid months ago. And by the way, now I know why it took so long for the ELA to be produced. Obviously the simplicity was getting plenty of production time and man-hours.
I really don't care who I piss off, aggravate, annoy, etc. David you have had my money since January 13th. A lot of money in my world. The estimate was 6 - 8 weeks. It has been 21 weeks now. Pretty close to 3 times your estimate. That's pitiful. I know you are used to everyone on here kissing your a$@ but you are not going to get it from me. I'm fed up and out of patience. When are you going to make good!?
And I've waited this long so don't even suggest that I cancel now because I would laugh my unhappy a@$ off.
