hi guys i bought a "kick clone' in a co-op to use with my ELA. i tested it in a cheap mod and it doesnt fire.. so idk if its because of the mod or i got a dud...

do u guys recomend a kick by evolve or a crown? what the difference

Crown 100%....Ive owned Kicks since they were first released.... They can be prone to misfires...I havent had 1 misfire with my Crown yet 5+ days of vaping... Plus its about half the height of a Kick so you ELA will be more compact.... Also I have been told that it will let the battery voltage go lower than a Kick before shutting off...Mine is in VW mode... How do you switch it to VV anyway?

I have never had a problem with my kick it performs great.I also like my RBA's and SLR coils too which do not require the Kick to be used.It just depends on,the time of day,and which i prefer at the time to use.I am just one of the fortunate ones who have not had a problem with there Evolv product.

There are two versions of the Crown, one is a VV Crown, and a VW Crown.I did not think they came out with one that switches both modes??

Thats a shocker, Kicks are notorious for not firing....Mine always had problems...You had to remove it and reinsert to make proper contact, a real PIA..The Crown has a larger pin to make contact, better design......

Someone had said they did, when I go to the Crown instrutions website there is no information on how to switch from VW to VV.... Im glad mine is VW anyway.....I can live with 10 watts.... Cosistance vape, self adjusting power to a changing atty resistance....

I am just used to the Kick and have been using it long before the Crown and luckily have never had a problem with them,i actually have two.I know others have had problems but with all electronic things, they break and parts fail.

Beep it 6 times and hold - it'll switch to volts.

i have a couple rba's i like.. its just that whith a fresh battery its a whole different vape than when its a lil used down to about 4.0

how'd u kill ur kick?

I used it!

Edit::

When it worked, it worked great, but for the money I spent on that thing, it just made me mad. I will never buy another one and I do not recommend them. I say this and I am a huge Evolv fan. So huge that I have never owned a provari, and never plan on it.

The first release of the crown was available either as vv our vw, either red or white. Version 2, the current version, is blue and has both vv and vw modes in the same device, selectable as snork instructed. If anyone is interested I'll see if I can dig up the YouTube link for the updated version tomorrow.

Nach your right on point with that statement........ better yet tipping over the torch by accident and burning A. Themselves or B. Their house down to the foundation....... I have the knowledge to do it, and even I didn't want to do it by myself (if I was I would be doing it outside on cement ) thus why I handed it over to someone that has made some beautiful stuff ;)

I still can't believe I started this bluing monster.... I really hope I don't start hearing horror stories about how peeps burned their house down because they dropped a hot accent ring! :danger:

LOL, Ive never blued stainless steel , but hotter I suppose. Once I was torching a new ceramic for one of my Odysseus and I dropped the sucker and I instinctively grabbed for it, ouch. I dropped it on the carpet and it melted the carpet and got carpet fibers melted to it.

I had to torch it again as it had burned carpet fibers melted to it and it was my last one. I finally went white again. I didnt notice any off taste at all when I used it for the first time.

Carpet was left with a nice burn mark on it. I was tricky though. I took a pair of small scissors and carefully snipped off the burn marks with out noticing the missing part:)

Hi BeardedV, glad you decided to get one, just go to the Super-T site, think they are still available, but only in the polished. Delivery time I would be safe to say at least 6 weeks, maybe up to 8? It is worth the wait. I have already, ordered in Dec, have it for 3 weeks? I have another coming and I think its about 5 weeks away. Im hoping sooner, but will get it when its ready.

Hey guys, ready to buy a ELA. Are they still available at the site? Also what is the approx del time atm. TY

I'd say plan on receiving it in September. That way if you get it in August you'll be pleasantly surprised.

But don't let the wait deter you. From the first batch of 200 (almost completed), there has only been one reported instance of the ELA being resold by an end user. From what I can tell, for everyone else, the ELA has become the instant all-day favorite, even among the hyper-critical. I daresay it'll be extremely rare to see these on the classifieds.

And once batch two gets filled up, who knows how long it will be until the ELA becomes available again? It probably won't be the same price or include all the bonus options at that time, in any case. Now's the time.
