Along with many other people here. This is quite the consortium that has been built here. No one really argues. Instead, they state their opinion (or fact), and move on. I like that.I kind of follow that guy around too, he knows a lot of stuff.

Snip This is not the occasion with e-cigs. Everything we use is only used for vaping, so I'm not entirely sure they will be so hospitable.
So, make your decision. I'm not jumping the gun on anything because I have no idea how it will go down, only that something will. I'm also confident that the community here can easily loophole anything the FDA does. E-cigs and PV's are here to stay. We'll be sure of that even if it ends up us making our own homemade cartomizers and vaping out of fog-machines in our basement, we'll still be vaping.![]()
Great post.If you are really paranoid that any part of your vaping experience can be banned and you drink the FDA's kool-aid, then here's three items of interest.
1. Rebuildable Atomizer
2. Mechanical mod like the Omega, Alpha, Icon, what have you.
3. 100mg Nicotine
3 Is if you don't plan on quitting nicotine, you may find that its easier to avoid the FDA's attempts at making your life miserable if you just ween off of it.
Of course, lets look at what the FDA would be able to touch. I think they would be able to regulate the legality of cartomizers and e-cig based products, and I believe they would be able to put restrictions on those devices like border laws against cartomizer, battery and atomizer importation.
So first things first would be to get a USA-made mod that uses batteries that aren't e-cig related, as a mechanical mod would allow this as well as nearly be impossible to break because there's hardly anything to go wrong.
Batteries we use are the same Batteries used in tactical flashlights and professional camera-gear. So as long as there's another purpose for them, there's no reason to ban them as they aren't directly connected to vaping.
Nicotine, Cartomizers and Atomizers are directly connected to vaping and they are things that the FDA can control and regulate via importation laws. Whether this means higher prices, a standard connection, or whatever have you, they'll regulate something. Your cartomizers may cost $1.50 each now and cost $5 each next year. They want a cut and they are showing it.
On the other side of the fence, Bongs aren't illegal and neither are Hookahs but they have two uses, tobacco and MJ. Even though MJ is outlawed, they still exist because and only exist because of tobacco. This is not the occasion with e-cigs. Everything we use is only used for vaping, so I'm not entirely sure they will be so hospitable.

There could be some truth to what you say on the devices. In terms of equipment, I think I have what I need at least for a small period of time and could, if necessary, figure out how to build an atomizer, cartomizer or similar.
I really do think the nicotine liquid is what they'll go after. That's the stuff they can convince the public with in a propaganda style way that it needs restrictions, needs taxing, what have you. All it's really going to take is one person out there, doing something nutty in a homemade e-liquid lab and a 60 minutes story and then we'll be up to our ears with do-gooder FDA types.
Nicotine base in particular is what I plan on hoarding while it's still pretty cheap and widely available.
I think the Nicotine is the main thing they will go after because it is the main source of our enjoyment and it is at the core of many vapers' experience. If nicotine became regulated it would effect all of us that aren't vaping 0nic. That's everyone with a rebuildable atomizer, everyone with a tank, everyone with every type of mod you can think of, we are all using nicotine extracted from tobacco unless the person in question is using 0nic juice.
It is the move that would effect the most of us and I think it would be the biggest consideration.
And to add to my statement about me myself and I not stocking up on nicotine, cartomizers or atomizers. We have no idea what the FDA will regulate. Even if it is the most likely thing on earth that it ends up being nicotine, you could end up buying a whole freezer's worth and they don't even end up regulating it but rather doing something pointless like regulate retail sales in which case HealthCabin would instantly get quite a bit busier.
The government has a long arduous line of not understanding things, and many people don't understand PV's and e-cigs, especially the government. They could ban their concept of "e-cigarette" and we could loophole it to death by not selling them altogether but separately. They could regulate the e-juice and avoid the nicotine altogether, and we could loophole it by making our own.
There's tons of end-results here, who knows.
If you are really worried about the conspiracy theories why not just start your own plan to wean yourself off nicotine completely? Then you will be invulnerable and invincible when big brother strikes.
Agreed.
Reminds me of all the Mac enthusiasts who have already sold their 2008 & 2010 model Macs because Apple might announce a refresh to their product line next week.
Have you seen this link in the ECF library? Also, how long will it last in a freezer?
If that is your opinion, it is an accurate one.The FDA only wants ppl to use products that they have approved: patches, gum, inhaler, drops, hard "lozanges", etc cause they are in kahootz with the pharmaceuticals. There is nothing in it for them or the pharmaceuticals for ppl to use ecig. Also, it's not just the nicotine that's bad, but all the tar and toxins in cigarettes that are gumming up our lungs, which is worse than nicotine. None of the tar or toxins in the ecig. And without tar and toxins, there is no cancer. Without cancer, there are no chemotherapy drugs needed. With no drugs needed, the pharmaceuticals won't make any money. I know it sounds like a conspiracy theory, but that is my opinion.
However that is most definitely not true.Nicotine is probably the cause of tongue cancer, mouth cancer, gum cancer,.etc.

It would behoove ecig users to take advantage of the 0 nicotine that ecig offer which is something you can't get from analogs.
