Interesting Idea Red, can I back charge for late delivery?? I experience the same issues living where I have for 7 years... Seems I pay
through the teeth to use the USPS anymore... Then it seems lender's do not believe that the USPS can be fallible. The worst seems to be within my state itself, took a week for a letter to go 3 hours away... I could've walked it there and got home before they delivered it...but when the USPS are "aiming for 60% on-time" delivery rates what should we expect... Once upon a time I worked for a towing company, I saw many people lose their vehicles due to sale because they never got the impound notice...
And just an interesting tidbit, the USPS has No motto contrary to popular belief, they saying was hi-jacked from mail-carriers from 500 B.C.E. and as initially translated read:
It is said that as many days as there are in the whole journey, so many are the men and horses that stand along the road, each horse and man at the interval of a day’s journey; and these are stayed neither by snow nor rain nor heat nor darkness from accomplishing their appointed course with all speed.
—Herodotus,
Histories (8.98) (trans.
A.D. Godley, 1924)
So in short, do not trust in the USPS to deliver on time..in fact be elated if it shows up at all these days... HAGD
