Interesting Idea Red, can I back charge for late delivery?? I experience the same issues living where I have for 7 years... Seems I pay through the teeth to use the USPS anymore... Then it seems lender's do not believe that the USPS can be fallible. The worst seems to be within my state itself, took a week for a letter to go 3 hours away... I could've walked it there and got home before they delivered it...but when the USPS are "aiming for 60% on-time" delivery rates what should we expect... Once upon a time I worked for a towing company, I saw many people lose their vehicles due to sale because they never got the impound notice...

And just an interesting tidbit, the USPS has No motto contrary to popular belief, they saying was hi-jacked from mail-carriers from 500 B.C.E. and as initially translated read:
It is said that as many days as there are in the whole journey, so many are the men and horses that stand along the road, each horse and man at the interval of a day’s journey; and these are stayed neither by snow nor rain nor heat nor darkness from accomplishing their appointed course with all speed.
—Herodotus, Histories (8.98) (trans. A.D. Godley, 1924)

So in short, do not trust in the USPS to deliver on time..in fact be elated if it shows up at all these days... HAGD :)
Seems they were not amused when I suggested that perhaps our carrier should be subject to an occasional whiz quiz because she fell down laughing in the driveway one day while trying to bring something to door for a signature. Then after she got the signature and got back in the truck, she pulled away from curb and wiped out the mailbox across the street.

I hate the feeling I have to stalk our apparently chemically altered carrier every day. Yesterday, I got a bill from JANUARY..she said "oops, I guess it was UNDER my seat".. Gee, thanks, I had to pay a late fee on that because they didn't believe me when I said I never got it. I took a whole handful of ones with stickers on them that we finally got LATE to the PO and told them they can start paying the fees. And yes, we've switched to online billing, but theres a few that we don't have that option.

WOW, I can not for the life of me find the pics of the morning I awoke to a mailman stuck in my front yard. He did not find it necessary to use reverse and turn around on asphalt as my driveway is paved, he thought he could turn around in the front lawn, where his little mail truck promptly sank into the drainage field. He ended up having to call a tow truck to get the truck out of my yard. Not the brightest light bulbs in my opinion...

Maybe the postal service should go back to its old ways and test people before they hire them. I remember 20+ yrs ago taking a 4 hour test (SAT like test) before they would hire ya!
I thought they still did that!!! If they don't, they need to do something...I think Deeds' carrier and mine are related.

I'd have to agree with you about the USPS in your state; when I used to order a lot from ecigexpress, I'd see a pkg bounce 3 or 4 times between Bellingham and Seattle, it was like watching a ping-pong game! That's the main reason I no longer order much from them, and as far as I can see, MtBaker relocating from that black hole is the best thing that could possibly happen to them OR their customers!

But FL is almost as bad! They're just SLOOOOOOOOW...

Houston is known to be one of the worst! I can watch a package from anywhere make it to Houston sort facility in 24 hours, then sometimes takes 3 days to make the last few miles.

You know how on the tracking pages, it shows when the thing is *expected* to arrive? What I want is a phone number to call, where an actual human answers the phone, to find out why it's not there on the expected day!

But nooooooo, you have to wait FIVE DAYS from the shipping date, and then you have to wrangle with their idiot phonetree, and then you either sit on hold for 45 minutes, OR some recording will tell you to leave your number and someone will get back to you.... AND THEY NEVER DO!!!!!!!!!!

I've actually had pretty good luck receiving stuff from Mt Baker shipping from WA. If I order over the weekend, I get the package in the mail on Wednesday. The worst and most ridiculous was a couple of months ago, I purchased two micro USB cables. The seller is located in NYC. I live 80 miles northwest of NYC. The package was shipped first class mail. After it left NYC, the package's first stop was Albany, which is 90 miles north of me. Then it left Albany and came back down south to me. And it took over a week and a half before it made it into my mailbox. The package sat in the Albany USPS sorting facility for three days before it moved.

The funny thing is after it left the sorting facility, the tracking was updated to show it arriving in Albany the same day that the package left Albany. So any evidence of it sitting at the sorting facility for 3 days before they processed it was erased. Since some of the packages coming to me gets routed through Albany, it appears that they always let it sit for a few days and then they change the tracking dates. Another sorting facility that some packages that come to me pass through is in NJ. That place is much more efficient. When a package arrives, it leave the same day.

Mine is by choice nowadays, or it's auburn-so-dark-it's-nearly-black mixed with about 50% gray. that's why I said "half gray" -- right now, that would be the top half. :D Need a haircut desperately but I've been procrastinating; if I tried to color it right now, I'd need THREE boxes, not just 2.

Andria

Mine is normally ash blonde which, over time, has become much less blonde and much more, uh, ash... I started coloring it long before it started turning on me, though. I always hated my natural hair color. When I was young and it was the '80s I lightened it because, well, Big Hair. :p Nowadays it doesn't even take me a whole box to color it! I cannot imagine needing two boxes to color one's hair, let alone three! I would kill for that much hair. :)

I would agree for the most part, with the exception of MBV. They were one of the largest advocate suppliers in the state. I wish they would continue to fight rather than take off before the bill is even law. I understand it on a business level mind you, just feel betrayed and like a sacrifice to the new tax or something. It sends a bad signal to me and most Washington folks I would imagine, not that I speak on their behalf. And the message that sent to the government here was basically a green light, go ahead and bend them over we don't care we outty 5000... Sorry, I am upset if I continue obscenities may occur. I can see from your standpoint how you are happy they no longer deal with our local postal system though. Just hits a little closer to home for me i guess.

Good day to the wonderful vape community. Andria, I fully understand the automated computerized answering systems problems, I have a real deep and rough voice that no computer can understand. I found that as soon as the computer answers start hitting zero several times and it will automatically send you to a person.

Well, my hair is blue and purple, so.. lol
That is AWESOME! I have had pink, half black/half platinum, almost see-through (oops)... I love brightly colored hair. I used to be much more adventurous than I am these days. I like to live vicariously through other peoples' candy-colored hair, though. :)

Until you had to deal with it, day after day, for 50 yrs... If it gets long, it's like I'm wearing a WOOL CAPE! AARGHHH!!! And since I can't really do anything with it, I keep it put up... where it pulls on my scalp with all that weight, and gives me awful headaches. I swore up and down that once I got old and it all went gray, I'd have a buzz cut and wear wigs! I'm getting closer... ;)
