Its not the dual part, but the resistance due to the 2.5 amp limit. If you can find 2.5 ohm DCC. they will do 6.0 volts.
as I see it:
Provari Better regulation, and control, but more $$$
LT less $$$, and still would be way better than a non VV mod....
Yep, I've run my 2.5 DC @ 6V, and I have a few 2 ohms that test out at ~2.1 that run at ~5.2V as well (on the Provari). So yes, I would add 'run a DC carto @ 6V' as something Provari can do that LT can not. That, and the Provari will still be working in a year..
