also do check out how to clean gunk off kanthal (extend the life of the coil for a little bit) although kanthal is cheap XD

remove the cotton from the coil. Fire up the coil til red. put it under a running tap just to douse out the heat. Repeat a couple of times. Then wipe it with a tissue after it has cooled off.
