With my Vamo, the watts are reset to 3 when you swap the batts. If you do a power off / on the watt setting is retained.
As per the tests the Vamo, in some cases, is popping the LR coil after a battery swap to stacked 18350s. I could understand it if the coil pops at 10 watts but since a battery swap took place for the tests the wattage defaults to 3 watts ,,, The coil should not pop.
Someone besides Mindfield and myself need to try the test as described in the first post. There is something to all of this ...
We do know that random popping of LR attys (< 2.4 ohms) does occur when fresh stacked 18350s (the Vamo should display the output voltage as 8.3) are installed. If in VW and rms mode, no adjustments to the wattage and no checking the atty resistance, hit the fire button and pop goes the coil.
