oh yeah, I forgot to mention..
I got a different color case,
got different color batteries(I knew that would be different though, because I mentioned something on the phone...wouldn't have known if I didn't mention it)
and different flavor juice
but at that point I was just happy to finally get my friggin order that it didn't matter as much
oh! annnd three of the blank cartomizers(along with one ry4) doesn't screw all the way on three of the five batteries I got. weird.
it's kind of funny...I went with them because I heard their customer service was so spectacular...then it took almost two weeks to finally talk to someone on the phone and my order was switched around without telling me. ah well.
Okay, been there, done that with the cartomizer not fitting on the battery scenerio. My sister and a friend of mine, same problem. We are told its the threads on the battery that are the problem. Rub steel wool on them, and "it will be fine." We all did that, it WASN"T fine. One of them my husband managed to force on, but that affects the draw Then they told us to use sand paper or (are you ready?) a "nail file"...and rub on the threads. Nope, that didn't work either.
So I called them rather then email again and explained the situation again. The rep assures me it is the battery and an isolated incident from a bad shipment...and to do more steel wool rubbing and nail filing. Meanwhile my sister had now rubbed the paint off of one of her batteries trying to retool them (and she is now considering a new career in the tool & dye business). Someone At V4L did send my sister two new batteries. However, I think she still has two boxes of cartos that won't fit on them either. Meanwhile, I ordered 2 more batteries in another style in hopes that I might do better trying a different batch-- hopefully from a different shipment. I specifically asked them on that order in the "comments" box to check the batteries BEFORE they shipped them to see if they worked. I am hoping they will do that, they made no comment on that request. The order has not yet arrived, so I will see how that goes. In the meantime, I bought a Joye eGO from Vapor Kings that I am using instead. Its very cool (and works).
I had two orders that they sent substitutions for items that were out of stock. Then, they had to replace the substitutions with stuff that I actually "wanted". After reading these posts, that seems to be their policy now rather than working on their quality control issue. So to those who have had good experiences with V4L, I'm happy for you. Apparently, the rest of us here are either just plain unlucky or are being punished by the almighty for some egregious deed in our pasts. I really have tried to maintain my sense of humor thru out all this (even joked with the V4L guy who told me to use the dreaded nail file on my batts). And to be fair, they were quite good natured in their communications with me. But they do not seem to be addressing the crux of the problem, which is poor QC...at least that was never expressed to me. So, I think I may just eat my losses, grab my eGO, and move on.
UPDATE: Well I did get the 2 batteries and box of cartos I ordered today and...THEY WORK! Maybe my luck is going to change for the good here and/or I have been forgiven for all my past transgressions. It looks like Chad handled this one, so it seems he really is the go-to guy over there. I see on the invoice that my comment about checking the batteries was circled...and initialed, so, yes it appears that someone really is paying attention afterall. And they did send generous gift offerings yet again to pacify me... which I grudgingly admit is proving to be effective. Apparently I CAN be bought...I feel so shameless! I am hoping this is a good sign that things may turn around at V4L in the QC department. And if everyone keeps postings, we can stay abreast of any patterns of progress...or regress. Happy vaping...sj
